New Names Written Down In Glory

My church's Worship Leader certainly had something really special to rejoice about during the week in which "Good Friday" fell.

His 7 YO daughter trusted Christ on Wednesday, 23 March!

Not having known about that, I had wanted to buy one of those big, soft, fluffy Noah's Ark Lions for my little sweetheart Savanna just because "of the season."

The church had planned a Good Friday evening communion service so I thought that I'd just bring it along and give it to her afterwards.

Then, when the Pastor mentioned her trusting Christ (and even had her publicly testify of what had happened to her!), I realized that now that Lion wouldn't be an Easter gift....it'd become a "re-birthday" present instead!!!

Yesterday was really something ya'll!
Remember Heather, the friend of mine who got saved recently? Yesterday her brother got saved!
Then last night a fourteen year old girl who'd been in my Bible school class got saved! And to top it off, last night,which was our baptisim service, after we finished with our quartet practice (Heather's dad is in it, which explains how they were still there) Heather's sister came up to us crying saying she needed to get saved!
Within three weeks Heather's parents have seen all three of their children get born again! WOW!! God is SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!

 

I attended the wedding of two new converts tonight. This is really something ya'll!
These two got saved awhile back and came to preacher this past Sunday night about joining the church and getting baptized. Preacher told them since they were living together that they couldn't do that at our church and be members. So they got a liscence yesterday and tonight after the service they got married!!
I was surprised they did it so quickly. Talk about repenting! I was thrilled, we all were. We love em already. They're always trying to help around the church, faithful to services, really sweet people. We just couldn't let them join while they were living in sin. It was exciting to see them make this right. Now they can really become part of our family!
(as a side note, we wanted to throw rice, but couldn't find any so we surprised them by crumbling up stale chips......got some great pictures that they'll love to have! )

 

A really good friend of mine, Tyler got saved last week, amen! He is a really nice fella, you can tell the Lord has really touched this young man's life. BTW sister, when you get married I am throwing rocks, JK, (that is what my asst. Pastor told a certain sister he was gonna do at her wedding), Update on Joslyn, I invited her to church on Sunday and she came to my church, and hopefully will come back sometime. I am trying to figure out if she is saved or not, I am not sure, although we can never be 100% sure except ourselves, but if you would please continue to pray for her. She is a very sweet girl. Abby at my wedding the only thing I'm throwing is cake in the grooms face! And the people are going to let go of balloons as we go out and they are going to have the roman's road inside of them.

 

Kayla's mention of the Romans Road caused me to recall driving to Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC, about 10 years ago.

Since I would be in Charlotte for 4-5 weeks on business, I wanted to attend services at a good Baptist church there. A friend of mine suggested NBC.

Following the directions given to me over the phone, I turned off the street from I'd exited I-85 and noticed on the street sign "Romans Rd."

This twisty, winding road was actually part of NBC's property, and after every turn was a huge billboard on which was prominently painted each verse of the Romans Road in succession.

So, even before you got to NBC's parking lot, you were taken down the Romans Road!

 

that is so COOL!!! I am definately putting that in the suggestion folder for the new property, since I am in charge of the folder, since I am the asst. pastor's secretary, (He is really the person in charge of the folder but he sends everyone with ideas to me) I will just throw that right in.

Got that done, put it in the folder...My friend Tyler who got saved a couple weeks ago, is so thirsty for knowledge of God now that he is saved. I love to watch new babes in Christ thrist after knowledge.

 

I went soul-winnin' last night, one ladie was so close to getting saved, it was apparent that God was workin' on her heart, but she was cookin and was afraid her food was going to burn, so she cut it short... I'm going to ask some of the women from the church if they will visit her. Her name is June if you would please keep her in your prayers... that God would continue to work on her heart... maybe she read through the tract and got saved later... but all I can do right now is pray for her.
Thank you. Praise God for this post... it's awesome to see the efforts of God's workers being blessed... remember the word of the Lord never returns void. Praise God.

 

i got saved when i was six

 

I actually got saved about 8 months ago, well, almost nine months but yah know.

Anyway. My friend Bobbi got saved the other night. I was so excited! I gave her a great big hug and was so happy! Then she got baptised the next Wednesday. AND. The Sunday after that, my friend Allison who got saved in June got baptised. BTW, could you please pray for Allison's grandfather. He has Alzheimers and something happened and he is now in the hospital and doesn't have enough oxygen, and could die soon. Also, pray for Allison, who is taking it very hard. She'll only have her grandmother, since her parents died when she was young.
