It is interesting to note that the Webmaster has lifted the size limitation of photos, and now huge pictures will be slowing down the Board for some of us, making it rather unpleasant. I agree that the smaller photos were hard to see at times, but I sure hope people will refrain from using photos that have no importance and extra large photos that require a lengthy upload.

Brother Jim, how come you know about the ease on the picture size limit posted on the board? This has been discussed behind closed doors in the Moderators forum, but no public announcements were made as of yet.

Brother Jim, this may be true for those members who have dial-up services. When I had dial-up service, even without oversize pictures the window would open VERY SLOW. Never mind with larger pictures. Some of us who now have Cable Modems, DSLs, or other means of getting on the Internet (with lightning speed), forget that it wasn't always like that, and the majority of the folks are using snail speed when accessing the Net.

Well, we certainly hope that folks will not post oversized pictures just for the fun of it. Our Moderators are still required to police the board for irrelevant pictures. We encourage members to use a link to an oversized photo rather than the picture itself. Thank you for bringing this topic to the limelight.

Thank you. Leo is actually about 5 years old. He is a rescue dog. His owner died. We love him to bits. He is very lively, just like a pup.

All of our cats have been rescued from the 'homeless shelter' for animals. We've only had one bad experience and that was a cat that had been found outside an animal shelter and taken to a local vet for frostbite. They told us ahead of time that he had bitten EVERYONE who tried to care for him. We kept him about a year and he bit 8 people before we returned him to the vet. They attempted to find other owners and then put him down. The doctor felt he must have been very badly mistreated even as a tiny kitten and had not been around people until he was older... Sad... I hated to hear it.

Thank you Gina, but I did change. I shed off about 20 pounds. So much so that my wife started to get worried, but I feel better this way. According to Lily (at whose house the last picture was taken) I forgot to smile. Actually I was getting ready for the picture - not wanting to have a stale smile - and when I asked her "when", she already took our picture...

 

If you ask my children, they'll say that is me without a doubt.

I just uploaded the BT family pic taken last August at our church's 53 anniversary day.
becky's hair was just starting to come back in. She has a lot more now. I called her "fuzzy top" back then.
