New Study Shatters Narrative Surrounding COVID Hospitalizations

They killed my Dad with Remdesivir. He didn’t even have covid when he was admitted. They didn’t even ‘test’ him for a week. They were ready to discharge him. The hospital was basically deserted, after ‘testing’ him, they put him through every high dollar process the second week, & finished with high dollar remdesivir, a Fauci kiss on the way out. Of course his family was unable to kiss him, or even talk to him, he was hard of hearing & couldn’t use the phone. I have nightmares of his last days. He led an honorable, successful, good life. Raised 4 children, married 69 years before Mom passed (at the same hospital). His word was his bond. He always trusted people, I always said, too much. It cost him dearly at times, but he just moved forward. I miss you, Dad.
Sorry about what happened. This is also happening to many other people thanks to Fauci's political influence and control over the AMA etc.... I really think years from now, Fauci will be shown to be a mass murderer, which I think is deliberate on his part, not coincidental as of natural circumstances for this disease.

It was widely reported at the time. Do your own research, you’ll remember better.

Peace to you
No.

Your claim, your responsibility to support.

I never fob off my responsibility to support my claim onto others. You, and others apparently do not have the same standards.

This debate had been ongoing for a year. Thousands of posts. Numerous links.

Just because you come late to the discussion, doesn’t mean everyone else has repost everything.

You are joining a discussion in progress. I suggest you educate yourself before you offer opinions.

peace to you

Falsehood. You took a story that said this:

the study suggests that roughly half of all the hospitalized patients showing up on COVID-data dashboards in 2021 may have been admitted for another reason entirely, or had only a mild presentation of disease.

...and misrepresented it as this:

About half of the 2021 Covid hospitalizations were not for Covid.

Your statement clearly misrepresents what the article claimed. And you know this, since you cannot possibly not understand that some of this "half" that you are referring to were indeed in the hospital for covid, albeit for a mild case.
Naysayers and disparagers have one thing in common, they deny the obvious. About half of the 2021 Covid hospitalizations were not for Covid, but were for something else, thus the hospitalizations were "with Covid" but not "for Covid."

And I suggest you comply with the obligation to defend your own claims.

We all know what is going on. You will not support your claim because there is, in fact, no credible support for it.

Either that or you are so distorting the finding as to effectively promote a falsehood.

I am not obligated to “prove” water is wet because you are ignorant of basic facts.

Again, it was widely reported when Trump signed the first Covid bill that hospitals would be reimbursed for every Covid infection treated. That gives hospitals monetary incentives to classify as many patients as possible as Covid patients.

That subject has been discussed on this board. Educate yourself before engaging in discussions.

Go to google. Type the words, “are hospitals reimbursed for treating Covid infections”? Read the link. Believe what you read.

Ta Da! You have educated yourself. Engage in intelligent conversations. Make meaningful statements.

peace to you

A ridiculous statement - you are, of course, obligated to defend your claims. Simply claiming your assertion is self-evident is beyond the pale.

You need to provide credible evidence that the way hospitals have counted covid cases is not legitimate. And, no, one anecdote does not constitute such evidence.

You will, of course, not produce such evidence since the basic claim that hospitals have systematically overcounted covid cases is false.

The intellectual discipline in this forum on the matter of covid and the vaccines is appalling - we see systematic lying, appeals to entirely disreputable sources, inflammatory rhetoric, and shameless evasion.

The OP is about overstatement of Covid cases by hospitals by nearly half.

Since you have made the basic claim that the OP is untrue, by your own standards, you must prove your claim.

But you will not. That would require you to educate yourself on the facts of the debate, which you have no desire to do.

If you live in ignorance, it’s better not to say anything.

peace to you

If only…..leftists were as smart as they thought they were. They are SO deluded that they actually believe they will be sheltered by the elites who they fervently carry water for. Hilarious. Sad, really, but hilarious none the less.
Look at Newsome…wins by hook or crook, the same voting flip numbers were seen on CNN in real time, which they promptly covered up, & now Newsome claims people voted for MORE lockdown policy. Sure they did. Lefties get the shaft from lefty policy, control over your freedoms, higher taxes, regulations & on & on, just like the rest, but they will like it. Deluded.

My concern was with post 4:

About half of the 2021 Covid hospitalizations were not for Covid.

I have proven that the that is claim is not supported by the article. Refer to post 9, for example.

Most of these posts have been based on misinformation. Most have been disproven as well.

There is a passage that applies - do not answer a fool according to his folly

The claims have been numerous - vaccinated will be dead in 5 years, covid is a new age conspiracy, genomic surveillance(which is the traditional way of discerning varients) does not exist, varients do not exist, covid is just another flu, those people did not really die of covid.... threads have been started based on intentionally misquoting sources, actual studies have been ignored, and statistics have been invented.

Most people recognize the misinformation on this board because of the wild claims. It is unfortunate, but not all those who profess Chrisr are honest people. Their "sins" will bear them out as their posts testify to their character.

In other words, they are the only ones who entertain their posts as valid.

Most recognize the benefits and risks of the vaccine along with the risks of the virus. And most are vaccinated.

I think it may be best to simply post corrections when needed and leave the fools to their folly (when it applies).

This applies to both sides. If people believe I post foolishly, then leave this fool in my folly. And vice versa.

Probably one source is Section 3710 (Medicare hospital inpatient prospective payment system add-on payment for COVID-19 patients during emergency period), (iv)(I) of the CARES Act passed Spring 2020. There will be other financial assistance in there for hospitals if anyone is inclined to wade through it, but I think the one above is possibly the most commonly referenced.

This is an important point worth addressing. Andre may well be right that there are a host of unwarranted hospitalizations, that is, those with mild cases of COVID and nothing else.

Those soley with mild COVID cases should not need hospitalization and no one in their right mind should think it an honest policy to admit such cases.

And then there is the added possibility of causing even more cases within the hospital.

"Free" money or OPM can be tempting and there may even be rewards besides taking that money.
