I didn't see anything racist about it, all 3 guys were white, and it didn't say anything about anyother race of people, it shows the 'cost' of the stimulus/bail out, kind of like, and arm and a leg, only here just the leg.
So someone explain the racisim to me.

I agree. I think people are way to quick to pull out the "race" card. They're looking for something that simply isn't there.

You have to check out the FEBRUARY 18 cartoon to see what the "big deal" is all about. (Which is really not a big deal to me at all.)

I don't get this one but the racist one was yesterday. It implied Obama was a chimp which was a through back to the days when it was said black people evolved from monkeys or looked like monkeys or were called monkeys (or something like that).

It's not racist by any means.

It's a play on the news item of the escaped chimp that tried to kill that woman a couple of days ago. The police killed it.

The cartoon is saying that the stimulus package is so stupid that a monkey must have written it.

Barak Obama did NOT write the stimulus (spending) bill, so how can the cartoon be connected with him?

I think . . .

. . . that hypersensitive busybodies (speaking of Sharpton and his ilk) don't make good exegetes.

As was pointed out, it's playing on recent sensational, ape-headed events. I think the only resemblence to Obama is the ears.

Much like the op. Although they are not really hypersensative. They are just looking for reasons to make up to be upset.

Let me see. Policemen standing over the body of a dead chimp they just killed. One then saying that they will have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.

President Obama is the one who pushed the bill. He is black. In the past in our country, blacks were also referred to as apes. Yea your right, nothing racist here.

Stop it now. This kind of conclusion requires one to think through it.

The way I see it, if this isn't racist then it sure isn't funny so there was no need to even print it. The only remote way this can be seen as funny is if the ape was Obama. If the ape isn't Obama then, well, we know the ape didn't write the stimulus plan so what's the joke? The only way this can be seen as a joke is if the ape is Obama which would clearly make this racist.

Perhaps getting the joke requires a modicum of literacy. Google monkeys and typewriters.

How many of them wrote a stimulus bill? Must not have been talking about moneys with typewriters but good try...

To think that the resent bill passed is to be for stimulus is nonsensical and an ape must have wrote it. Obama didn't write it, the Dems did and sense they did, they should change their jackass mascot to that of a rampaging chimp.

I don't know but it seems to me that a shooting of a jackass makes better sense.

According to those who beleive in evolution, we're all evolved from monkeys, not just blacks. I see it not as racist, but as in, how dumb the 'stimulus' plan is, could ahve been written by,,, a monkey, it's what I thought first time I saw it.

Aaron said pretty much what I did, could ahvebeen written by monkleys for all the true intelligence thats in it.

Without knowing the mind of the author of the cartoon, no one can say whether or not he meant this to be a racist comment or not.

Has anyone asked him?
