Good morning Solasaint and the rest of you folks. Having served for three tours of Combat Duty, I have killed people, far off and eye to eye. George has one of the same issues to live with for the rest of his natural life, just as I do. He has killed a man, not a kid, up close and personal. It is now forty-three years after the fact and I still wake my wife in the middle of the night with my dreams of that day and the eyes of the man are just out of my vision at any moment during the day.
From the day to day point of reality, my view of this burglar, almost turned murderer is slanted, I admit that! That, however, has not been my point of reference, from the beginning. George was carrying that Piece legally in his state and he was at work on the Neighborhood Patrol, organized because of the rash of break-ins and stolen property.
Here, in SE Texas, our Neighborhood Patrol is not allowed to perform their duty unarmed, it's to dangerous. So, I find the presence of the Piece on George to be practical and until the Feds illegally pressured the state to arrest him, there was no issue, according to the Florida Attorney General.
So it is, being a law loving American, I have, to this point, been watching this develope and I have been praying for neither Guilty nor Innocent Verdicts. My prayer to my LORD is for justice and healing for all parties.
