I`m almost sure I`ve seen Queen Elizabeth entering mosques on foriegn visits, and Prince Charles allegedly said he would choose to be Defender of Faith and not Defender of THE FAITH. I say allegedly because I think I read it in a newspaper :D

Men do and say many things..but no man can say Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

GW's Got the spirit of a politician..
    not the Holy Spirit.

Unfortuantely during the last election..He was simply picked as the "lesser of two evils"...

Why look at his first Problem he encountered....

Do you think He is Concerned about His fellow American Citizens who have lost their life savings in the stock market scandel ?

Havent heard a word about where that 9 trillion went to.....the life savings of MILLIONS of PEOPLE

No christian would let anyone get off with a simple fine. from Corrupt Brokers and bookkeepers.
    insider trader and CEO's..
and who still has their jobs ?

....GW's is not showing too much remorse...
    ...thats not loving your brother.

If GW's a christian..he's the kind that can make as many excuses as necessary in judging others when he is deciding who will serve as his enemy.

He's precently desiring to "save the world".
and any and every third world country can serve as his foil..why doesnt he go and pick on North Korea...lets see..isnt China Right next to Korea..
Yeh GW..Go Pick on Korea and China..They have weapons of mass destruction Too...A bunch of em

No..GW's Looking for a quick victory at the voting booth..and has no problems in involving the lives of those in the American armed services to serve as his New Nation building Arm of our USA..

The worlds Policeman.. All Hail GW.

Just think after that Big victory blowing up all that dirt in Afganistan...Whew

    Now on to I-R-A-Q..
Does GW even know where that is..or how many people, he will soon be bombing ? Oh nowadays it doesnt matter.."We'll Just Drop in a few "daisy cutters" in the town square".."and dont forget yall's bounty paper towels for that little "oil Spill".that Sadam will leave behind.

    No Biggy...Right ?
    Not for GW..YeeHaw

You're blaming the stock market on corrupt brokers? That's a bit of a stretch. I am one of millions who lost thousands of dollars in the market. Who do I blame? Myself, for simple greed. I picked stocks that were high risk, but stood to lose a lot of money. I lost. That's the way the game is played. Stocks are no guarantee of earnings. When a company losts its profits, stockholders, like me, lost their value.

    Johnv,

And the Government wants to give the right to all citizens to Risk their Social Security monies ...in The Stock Market.

Many companies had brokers who invested 401 and 403 monies..of which the participants were not given the luxury of removing their "investment" at any given moment of time. ie company policies..or government and judicial retirement accounts..
same difference..those guys ARE Scum..and they wake up every morning with the intentions of taking your and mine and ANYONES money...its all the same color.
and the government doesnt regulate this as closely as they should...why ?
Because Wall Street Owns The Politicians.

    Even Bush..

    Sorry to burst your bubble..
    Im a stock trader too.

"9 trillion Dollars of wealth changed hands"

So you decided to take responsibility in your own hands....or give your money to them..and of course..they are not responsible if they "lose" it by "trading" stocks. since it is a changing value.

But this is the Scandel of the Century..and it got brushed under the preverbial rug....

Yeh thats the ticket...Iraq has those...
    "weapons of mass distruction"
..and you never know what he'll do with em...

Johnv,...it's called ponsy.. or the old swicheroo..

but this is much serious...you find out you've been robbed years later...

Yes, I want the right to control my own money, even if that means I'll make mistakes with it.

So you decided to take responsibility in your own hands....or give your money to them..and of course..they are not responsible if they "lose" it by "trading" stocks. since it is a changing value.
They did not lose my money, I lost my money. No one forced me to invest in what I knew was a risky venture (tech stocks).

But this is the Scandel of the Century..and it got brushed under the preverbial rug....
I don't see a lot of rich guys. I see a lot of poor guys.

Yeh thats the ticket...Iraq has those...

Different subject. You're talking about Iraq violating the terms of the Gulf War cease fire. The fact that he's don'e so continually is no secret. The question is how long the UN will allow him to violate the agreement.

I thought of that too. But, it seems to me that if we are to have an all-out war (KILL PEOPLE), and send young Americans to an early death, it must only be over something that is far too big to be a secret.

"We are going to war but I can't tell you why" doesn't cut it.

I wonder if yesterday's disclosure of underground stockpiles of biological/chemical weapons in Iraq is credible enough to anyone? Or do we have to wait until the weapons are actually used and AMERICAN CIVILIANS are killed before we can justify defending ourselves against Hussein?

Let's see.... Bill Clinton said after each terror attack on foriegn soil that he would hunt and kill those responsible. After a few shots in the dark he backed off. The attacks became more brazen and nothing more was done than posturing and stammering. We were so upset nothing was being done. Now Bush wants to stand up and say enough is enough, and everyone says let it go. How many more terrorist attacks have to happen on American soil before we say they have gone too far???? I say close our borders, and if you aren't with us you are against us. Defend ourselves from all enemies, foriegn and domestic. That is what I swore to do when I joined the Army.

I agree, only some of those who are against us are DOMESTIC - some of our elected officials if they won't close our borders or put the military on them to help control all the illegals of every nation coming on through.

On September 12, 2001, I was appalled that our borders weren't closed and visas cancelled. I am still appalled. The war on terror should begin at home, not thousands of miles away!

And certain elected officials have put a nix on deporting Muslim illegal aliens (see my other thread). And certain elected officials want to grant amnesty to illegal aliens who are here. Why?

Where does political correctness end and treason begin?

Why are conservatives silent over these gross improprieties against the U.S. Constitution-- like not defending and protecting our borders?

Why isn't there a moratorium on our immigration policies? Why haven't our immigration policies been revamped if we are really "at war on terror?"

Is this a wag the dog?

Is American blood really that cheap?

Duct tape & plastic anyone?

The problems with our war on terror is we're not fighting a specific country or region. We're fighting a specific organization (Al Quaeda).

Believe me, I'd like nothing more than to see the border crossings policy revamped. What I'm most curious about is how they're catching the incidents that are often reported. On one hand, it could be said "look, see? These folks are still getting in", while on the other hand, it could be said "look, they're being caught; the system is working". It's probably a bit of both.

Did that surprise you? Did you think that Iraq would turn out to be the only significant country in the world that DOESN'T have biological/chemical weapons?

I don't like it either, but I am simply asking for evidence that either:

    1) Iraq has the ability and the intention to attack the USA with them

    or

    2) Iraq was behind the 9/11 attack.

Is that too much to ask?

I think the likelihood of Hussein being very cooperative with Al-Queda (Spelling?) is not great. Husseins Islamic tradition (from what I understand) is not so fundamentalist. However, the combined Arabian hatred of Israel could serve as a rallying point. Otherwise, the differences in Hussein and Bin Laden are too deep themselves, Saddam stands for an elitist government, while Bin Laden is more theocratic.

The ability of Iraq to deliver these weapons onto American soil, is a different matter. Reports of I believe at least three ships leaving port as the U.N. inspectors arrive and remaining at sea since that time, though perhaps not the clear cut, red-handed 'caught ya' we would like, is very unsettling.

The problem lies truly in the stability of the region. With Kurds in the north and Shiite Muslims in the South the removal of Saddam is Going to unleash a power struggle in the country and region which may have very real consequences.

Can we simply lay still because of this threat? I think world history teaches us no. Appeasement to Saddam is going to increase the numbers of militant regimes seeking to develop such weapons, why, not merely to control the world, but for use as leverage, we see this in N. Korea prominently. No real economies, but able to demand aid and status because of such weapons.

    Just some thoughts.

We still have to consider the fact that in five to ten years China is going to be a "Superpower" already their military would be formiddable in a conventional war, and they proved this in Korea. Just as Ho Chi Minh said during the Vietnam War that the North Vietnamese could lose 11 men to every 1 U.S. soldier and still win the war.

Our problems are not over brother, but hiding from them will not make them go away, and we can't move to another neighborhood either.

    God Bless.

Sorry, I don't agree. Trying to make the best of what you have, is not greed. Many people lost alot of money including me. Most people have investors and do not make the decisions as to where and how the money is invested. I even sent registered letters to my investor, telling him to stop buying stock, to go back to "moderate" mutual funds. I was ignored. In three years I went from over a hundred thousand down to $25,000.
These investors should be held accountable. He lives in a half million dollar house, and I was going without in order to invest for the past 12 years. He knew all my finances, and still took advantage. I have lost everything it took me twenty years in the Navy, to achieve. I thought I was doing the responsible thing, taking control of my future,

The problem with your theory is that the majority of these terrorists came in the country legally. I do think they need stricter borders, but we have people to do this. The military personnel have jobs to do. What needs to be improved on is the imigration laws, and the visa's being issued to anyone and everyone. We let too many people into the country to have any control over them. I agree we are doing "damage control" instead of prevention!
