Ziwar Muhammad Isma'il, is a Christian Kurd living in the northern part of Iraq - where Sadaam Hussein’s policies have been especially harsh. But even in the face of his Muslim governments’ cruelty - Ziwar was extremely bold and open about his faith.

Now his boldness has cost him the ultimate price. Ziwar was killed recently in the city of Zakho after he refused to denounce Christianity and return to Islam.

I don't see how that relates to the Iraqi link with Bin Laden that I would be 'naive' not to believe:

    the BBC

I'm not out to prove a link. It's obvious. If you can't see it already, then I won't be able to show you.

Where were you when Clinton was doing his bombing ? Did you protest then ?

Do you support Mr. Blair ? Do you agree with him ? Is you'r whole purpose here to try and ridicule our country ? Are you still mad at us for leaving in the first place ? Are you jealous of us ? Do you feel threatened by us ? Have we not protected you before ?

I don't pretend to know of a link between Al Quaeda and Iraq. I support military action in Iraq because they have continually violated the agreement which halted the Gulf War.

If a link between the two is a real one, then we've dealt with two birds using one stone. But a link between the two is not a requirement for me to support the President on the Iraq issue.

    That's right, Johnv! [IMG]

It matters not, InHim, whether you can connect the dots or not. I find that most liberals either don't have the capacity or lack the will to connect dots on any issue.

I'm sure there is PLENTY of intelligence information President Bush and the powers that be have that is not privvy to the rest of us without compromising sources and methods. Suffice it to say, I trust my President (after weighing all the pros & cons & visiting all the LIBERAL conspiracy sites about the oil, etc.) and bottom line, I support my President and the brave men and women of the US and UK military.

QUite obvious to me InHim doesn't support his own country's military & that's a crying shame!

if it is so onbvious then why is there no evidence

in this case no I do not support Blair and neither does the majority of this country or his own party. If Blair fails to get the second UN resolution and goes to war he is pretty much finished - mass resignations from his cabinet and party are certain as is a challenge to his leadership.

I voted for him and I think he is a good politican and, to be honest, I really think that he believes he is doing the right thing - but he is still wrong.

    where have I ridiculed you?

I, and many others, are very concerned that the USA & UK are dismantling the international order - I am very concerned at the possible consequences.

But that agreement was with the UN not the United States - if the will of the UN is against another war how can the US claim to be fighting on their behalf?

surely this quote didn't come from the person that just posted this:

er? Of course I support the UK military - I don't see what they have to do with whether or not we decide to go to war - they come in afterwards, in the worst case.

I heard on the news this morning that Dr. Blix also did not disclose some kind of missles that had been converted to contain germ warfare agents.

    Only heard it once.

It is amazing how much news gets blacked out.

I haven't been on the board for awhile.

Has there been any discussion of the Rallys FOR America, 10,000 in Houston alone, ignored by the Media.

Huh??? Where have you been hiding? The U.K. military has been side by side with US forces flying missions over the no-fly zone in Iraq. And being shot at by Iraqi missles daily.

The UK military is presently on the ground alongside US forces in Southern and Northern Iraq, training Iraqi freedom fighter troops.

    Sheesh!

    huh?

I know where the UK military is - my point is that I can oppose a US & UK led war without opposing my military.

I believe there is much corruption in the United Nations. Hans Blix and his cohort in crime, the head of the IAEA Elbaraidi are both deceivers and liars. Then there is Kofi Annan. What a joke. Why would anyone trust these people? They have blasted the United States over and over again, calling us liars, saying our move would be "unilateral", thus misrepresenting the truth as there are many other nations who are willing to go to fight alongside us, and then the French"man"???? DeVillipin...LOL Again, what a joke. He is going around to other nations right now in Africa trying to flatten ANY ability the United States and it's "coalition of the willing" would have to do anything. And they say they are our allies? I don't think so. I would say they are the equivilant of the Soviets during the Cold War....our enemies. Sorry to rant, but you asked...LOL

If InHim is correct, Iraq is harmless and is no threat to us or our allies. Perhaps we should allow Iraq's neighbors to have most say in how we handle Saddam. I say we should pull our military out of UN control. Our tax dollars should benefit US allies not Iraq and Al Queda allies. Perhaps InHim is right, the rest of the world wants us to butt out of the middle east. so easy... leave Isreal alone and stay away from us and we dont care what you do.

Well, as Mr. Keeper, landlord of the Double Eagle down in the village says at times like this, "Closing Time M'Lords, Ladies, and Gentlemen, Closing Time."
