If the current expectations hold, the James Webb Space Telescope will launch in December and the Space X Super Heavy Lift in January or February 2022. The FAA has scheduled issuing their permit about December 31 for the Super Heavy launch.

The Webb may rewrite our understanding of our universe within six months, provided its complex unfolding sequence comes off with any significant hitches.

And of course, the Super Heavy might takes us to Mars in the next few years.

On Christmas Day, the James Webb Telescope was successfully launched, but will go through its complex unfolding sequences over the next two weeks. Then it will (if all goes according to plan) continue to travel for another two weeks to its "L2" orbit location, about 1 million miles from earth.

Yesterday, January 24, 2022, the James Webb Telescope arrived at L2, its destination where its sun shield blocks heat from the sun, earth and moon, as it looks farther out into space. In 5 or 6 more months we should have new findings concerning the nature of our universe. Time will tell...

Do you hope or expect it to discover anything in particular?

peace to you

Yes, I expect the finding to support a much younger universe, not 6000 years but way less than 15 billion.
That would be breathtaking, and quickly dismissed and suppressed. They may even destroy the platform if that’s what it discovered.

peace to you

Yes, your view reflects history. I remember when Time Magazine, had the cover story that by considering the DNA and its changes over time. Eve - the first human women - lived about 25,000 years ago. Within two years, that number had increased and Eve had lived about 250,000 years ago.

As I age, and remember the 1950's and 60's, I have become like the Orwellian old people in his book, 1984. What I am told today seems to come from his "Ministry of Truth" which is Newspeak for the Ministry of Untruth.

I just recently reread 1984 and was amazed at the similarities today, especially with Tech companies manipulating history, search engines, current events to distort reality.

peace to you

"The Space X Super Heavy Lift in January or February 2022. The FAA has scheduled issuing their permit about December 31 for the Super Heavy launch."

Finally, on June 13, 2022, the EPA issued its assessment (Final PEA) which will allow the launch when Space X is ready, hopefully this Fall.

And the first images from the James Webb Telescope are scheduled to be made public on July 12 at 10:30 AM.

To give you an idea of how the government is harassing SpaceX, behold the FAA ruling:

FAA mitigation requirements for SpaceX in the 43-page executive summary include:

  • Ongoing monitoring of vegetation and wildlife by a qualified biologist.
  • Notifying surrounding communities in advance about potential engine noise and sonic booms from launches.
  • Coordinating with state or federal agencies to remove launch debris from sensitive habitats.
  • Adjusting lighting at the launch complex to minimize impact on wildlife and the nearby beach.
  • Working with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service within 60 days of the start of construction to identify practicable opportunities to protect, restore and/or enhance habitat for the ocelot, jaguarundi, piping plover and/or red knot bird.
SpaceX also must make an annual contribution of $5,000 to the Friends of Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge Adopt-an-Ocelot Program.

Mr. Musk has communicated that the Super Heavy may fly in July or August 2022. However, the FAA must review the "50" items it required before it will issue a "launch license."
