NFL Expansion

1) Should the NFL expand?
2) If so, how many teams?
3) What Cities should get teams?
4) How about a team each for Alaska and Hawaii?
5) Should Canada and/or Mexico be considered?
6) Should a city in Europe be considered?
7) Should Europe be given - say 6 teams and have its own division
With the team champion coming to the States for the playoffs?

Since, like boxing, the end result of the game is brain damage, perhaps we should enjoy watching non-contact (or certainly far less contact) sports like baseball and soccer. Football stresses the virtues of being the biggest, fastest, strongest with a display of violence. Time to rethink...

That sounds like a good subject for another thread -

But are you going to answer the OP?

Don;t they want to have a team in London?
And why not have my Lions go elsewhere, and get another team in say 3 years, under new ownership,m as have had 60 years of nothing!

Two things with a Team in London or on the conitment.
1) Time difference
2) Travel time - specifically that many time zones will mess you up for several days

and as far as the Lions - there are several teams that would love to have them.

To me being overseas also brings up terrorism directly!

Alright, I rethunk, and the conclusion is the same. Block 'em! Tackle 'em! Stomp 'em!

The rest of the questions are moot, as they are based on expansion...

Okay - let me rephrase:

IF the NFL does decided an expansion happens next year:

2) If so, how many teams?
3) What Cities should get teams?
4) How about a team each for Alaska and Hawaii?
5) Should Canada and/or Mexico be considered?
6) Should a city in Europe be considered?
7) Should Europe be given - say 6 teams and have its own division
With the team champion coming to the States for the playoffs?

with current # of 32 + 4 new = 36
To be divided into 6 teams of 6 divisions

3) What Cities should get teams?
NFC - Trontro & Birmingham
AFC Mexico City and San Antonio

4) How about a team each for Alaska and Hawaii?
Not at this time

5) Should Canada and/or Mexico be considered?
Yes, see above

6) Should a city in Europe be considered?
Possibly a 6 team "minor league"

7) Should Europe be given - say 6 teams and have its own division
With the team champion coming to the States for the playoffs?
See above

How about just shut down the NFL?
