Luke 1:35, And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born [of you] will be called the Son of God.

. . . of you . . . . Is missing.

. . . of you . . . . Is missing.

Neither does the American Standard Version(ASV).

Apparently, from searching about this, it depends upon which early manuscript is used as to whether it includes "ἐκ σοῦ".

At Luke 1:35, the 1534 Tyndale's New Testament has "And the angel answered and said unto her: The holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee. Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born, shall be called the Son of God."

. . . ἐκ σοῦ . . . in Luke 1:35. Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus, also known as Codex C, is an important 5th-century Greek manuscript of the Bible.

The ASV Luke 1:35 has translation note: Some ancient authorities insert of thee.
