You simply don't understand. Airport inspection and even air traffic control was on the verge of collapsing. Do you want to fly in an airplane next to an armed terrorist and have the pilot lose contact with air traffic control?
Oh and do to a Trump reduction in "regulations" the airplane hasn't been checked for a year. But the engines and wing might be OK if you're lucky.

Good point, but we still have much too much government doing things that the Federal entity has no business being involved in. We do not need an Education Department that educates not one person and there should not be one dime going to maintain a public television and radio network to mention just two.
