So, you are now admitting (contrary to your previous statement of: "There's no 'dress code in Scripture that applies today, as we live in another time/place.") that there is a standard and 'dress code' for "church services"?

What if I continue to show you, from scripture the dress code for 'everyday life' in addition to 'church services'? Will you then admit your error (you do seem to have a real hard time with doing that)?

    Go for it.

If you wanna follow 2K-old rules made for people of the Middle East back then, go ahead. (The only universal rules from then that apply are those against murder, theft & dishonesty, unwarranted ill treatment of other people, & idol-worship. And, one must come to Jesus in repentance, belief, & submission to be saved.)

But, long as you follow such stuff as gentiles observing sabbaths, & the annihilation of the wicked, you have no room to criticize anyone else's beliefs.

Nakedness is not God's plan, in either physical or spiritual matters, for it is the devil that brings people to be naked:

    Physical:

Jas_2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

    1Co_4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;

Act_19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Mar_14:52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Mar_5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Luk_8:35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Act_10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

Rev_1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Act_12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

Mar_16:5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
    Spiritual:

2Co_5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Rev_3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Rev_16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Rev_6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

    Rev_7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Rev_7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

Rev_7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Rev_1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Jud_1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Mat_22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

Mat_22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

The "flesh" is to be covered, otherwise it is a "shame", a symbol of sin.

Already we begin to see what God requires in clothing. It must cover the flesh. They must be long enough to reach the top of the foot (ankle), and long enough to cover the arms. It cannot be as an "apron" which "leaves" exposed the thighs, legs, back, chest.

Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Isa 47:1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

Isa 47:2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.

Isa 47:3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

Here is what a 'pope' said in a papal 'bull':

"... 80. The reading of Sacred Scripture is for all. ..." - Unigenitus - Papal Encyclicals

Now, if only the context of that statement is read and really and truly understood.

From 2 Cor 5:21 for him who did not know sin, in our behalf He did make sin, > Matt 27:46 and about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a great voice, saying, 'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?' that is, 'My God, my God, why didst Thou forsake me?' > when, therefore, Jesus received the vinegar, he said, 'It hath been finished;' > < and having cried with a loud voice, > Jesus said, 'Father, to Thy hands I commit my spirit;' and these things having said, he breathed forth the spirit. Jesus the soul expired, died, from Gen 2:17 to die, you shall die Jesus died for our sins.

The spirit went into the hands of his Father.
The soul went to Hades Acts 2:27 because Thou wilt not leave <forsake same Greek word in Matt 27:46) my soul to hades, Ps 16:10
The body of flesh was still hanging on the cross.

Lev 17:11 Darby, for the soul of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul.

That is what has just taken on the cross to make atonement for our soul. What was in the blood went to the hands of the Father for safe keeping for three days and three nights so our soul could be atoned for.

What was accomplished when in John 19:28, "Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished"? Is it not the very thing Jesus said in John 19:30, "It is finished"? In fact it is.

What, is in the blood, which makes the flesh, life or soul living? Is it not, that which, Jesus commended into the hands of the Father of him?

Was it when the spirit of Jesus departed into the hands of the Father that his soul was poured out unto death?

What was the state of the soul Jesus at that moment and for how long did he remain in that state? Acts 2:31

    First Study:

What does the Bible say about How to Study itself?

(If you have any questions you would like to honestly know from scripture (and don't already have a set opinion on), feel free to ask here, and then we can study it out together.)
[/QUOTE]Ok, What does the Bible say about How to Study Itself?

Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

    A "precept" is a commandment (Hosea 5:11).

A "line" is a "rule" (by which things are measured against, a pure standard of judgment; Isaiah 44:13).

A "here a little", means that God has placed foundational material in one place (as "milk", Isaiah 28:9).

A "there a little", means that God has placed that same material previously given in another place, and either explains it again, or explains it again with expansional or enlarging material (as "meat" (food, substance), "drawn (removed, taken away) from the breasts", Isaiah 28:9).

The Bible teaches that it is self-contained, or self-defined within, and that it contains the true "light" or wisdom:

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

The Bible teaches that the words in itself do not contradict itself in any place, and are perfect and cannot be improved upon (through either adding or taking away):

    Joh 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Psa_19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Pro 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Num 22:18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.

Num 24:13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?

As "all scripture" is "given by inspiration" of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and God cannot "lie", being "truth" and "light" itself:

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

    Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Rom_3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Joh_14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Deu_32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

1Jn_1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

No. The word of God distinguishes between the soul and spirit, Hebrews 4:12.
Yes, but His soul was only dead to pay the price, between being "forsaken" and being back in fellowship with His Father to give His Spirit back to His Father for physical death where then His alive soul could go to Hades.

And I showed that, distinguishment, that took place when Jesus breathed out the spirit of himself unto the hands of the Father.

By the word of God when the spirit of Jesus departed unto the hands of the Father, Jesus was divided asunder. The spirit went to the Father, the soul into Hades ie the heart of the earth ie the lowest parts of the earth and the joints and marrow were still hanging on the stake.

    Let me ask of you.

1 Peter 3:18 YLT because also Christ once for sin did suffer -- righteous for unrighteous -- that he might lead us to God, having been put to death indeed, in (to) (account being dative) the flesh, and having been made alive in (to) (account being dative) the spirit,

Did that underlined take place over a period of three days and three nights or some other span of time?
Was it a, "who," that experienced that underlined or was a, "what, or a who," that experienced that underlined?

Me I am going with a who.

Was it a, "who," or a, "what or a who," that was made alive? Alive in lieu of being what? Out of what? What did, "Christ," suffer and for how long did, "Christ," suffer what he suffered? For our sins?

Ok, What does the Bible say about How to Study Itself? ...

You have me mistaken for someone else, as I did not say anything about "KJVO" at all, anywhere:

How shall we approach the study and reading of Scripture? Shall we approach for selfish gain?

    The Scriptural Test:

    “... not I, but Christ ...” [Galatians 2:20],

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me [Christ Jesus].” [John 5:39],

“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” [John 7:17],

“... Every one that is of the truth heareth my [Christ Jesus'] voice.” [John 18:37]

“He [Christ Jesus] must increase, but I must decrease.” [John 3:30],

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” [1 Thessalonians 5:21],

“... in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” [Matthew 18:16],

“And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.” [1 Corinthians 14:32],

“... Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” [2 Chronicles 20:20],

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” [Isaiah 8:20],

    “It is written...” [Matthew 4:4],

“... thus saith the LORD ...” [Haggai 2:6],

“... the scripture cannot be broken.” [John 10:35],

“...God, that cannot lie...” [Titus 1:2],

“That by two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie...” [Hebrews 6:18],

“All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” [2 Timothy 3:16],

“The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” [Psalms 12:6],

“[As for] God, his way [is] perfect; the word of the LORD [is] tried: he [is] a buckler to all them that trust in him.” [2 Samuel 22:31],

“[As for] God, his way [is] perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he [is] a buckler to all those that trust in him.” [Psalms 18:30],

“LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” [Psalms 119:89],

Because your understanding of it is not true.

Defining the words according to the scriptural method [Isaiah 28:9-10], even like a Thesaurus:

Isa_43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

    [A.] I have created him,

    [B.] I have formed him,

    [C.] I have made him.
Isa_45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

    [A.] The LORD that created

    [B.] God himself that formed

[C.] God himself ... and made

    [D.] he hath established

    [E.] he created

    [F.] he formed

    1Jn_1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

[A.] which we have seen with our eyes

[B.] which we have looked upon

Notice that the words which are being defined or given in similitude, have surrounding words which are normally, usually, the same, “I have … him” [Isaiah 43], and “which we have” [1 John 1:1], etc. Again, take notice:

1Jn_1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

1Jn_1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1Jn_1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

1Jn_1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

[A.] bear witness, and shew unto you

    [B.] manifested unto us

[C.] seen and heard declare we unto you

[D.] these things write we unto you

[E.] this is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you

    [A.] the life

[B.] that eternal life … with the Father, ...

[C.] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ

    [D.] God … in him ...

Those are the similitudes, samenesses, but notice also, the oppositions, the negatives, which also help in defining:

    [A.] God is light

[B.] in him is no darkness at all
