Trump forwarding a Christian agenda vs the Demonic Dems. Not a hard choice.

Brother, my comments were not about Trump the candidate, it was about Falwell's demonizing other Christians who were not Trump supporters or who had reservations about the current President. Falwell's surrogates were just as bad.

Once the choice was Trump vs Hillary, anyone not supporting Trump deserved to be railed on.

Russell Moore himself proves that the SBC should abolish the ERLC as a money-saving move. The SBC does not need a lobby in Washington D.C.

However, it is necessary for Baptists to shut off the money flow to Nashville to apply pressure. The SBC is like the RCC in that as long as there is lots of cash at the top, nothing will change. The status quo is unsustainable anyway because of the looming federal collapse due to high debt and the inability to slash programs. The SBC might become just another pitiful helpless giant if they cannot elect someone other than Greear and fire Moore.

Hillary ran on a platform of evil. Did you read the 2016 DNC platform? Are you unaware of how rabidly pro murder and pro homosexual advancement Hillary was?

Sir, before Donald Trump became the GOP nominee Falwell, Jr. began his attacks against other Christians who either did not support Trump or criticized him. The things Falwell said are all over the Internet, so they simply require a Google search. There were many godly Christians who could not vote for either major party candidate on moral grounds. Even if you disagree with their decision, that does not make it OK to launch attacks that question people's Christian character. Using the tactics of the world is not in keeping with a Christian profession. I could write more but I will be deviating far from the OP.

Would you agree that abolishing the ERLC would help remove the SBC from federal politics?

I am not affiliated with the SBC, so I really cannot say but to think that the SBC is going to retreat from public policy is unrealistic. I do know that Russell Moore has vocal supporters and opponents with neither group willing to back down.

I will "launch attacks and question people's Christian character" in a heartbeat if they are acting politically stupid.
I agree with Falwell 100%.
Even in the primary, Trump was the only one vowing to push a Christian legislative agenda. He was the only one who plainlypromised pro life justices. The others beat around the bush with code word political speak.

1st thing, and I’m only telling you this cause you are from Jersey, make sure what you say you truly believe and you have researched it totally....and never, I repeat NEVER apologize for your own opinion. That is akin to feeling remorse and the man who feels remorse is twice week. Your opinions are your own and you should respect them. As for debate in here, it’s a good thing. Dissent, even conflict, are necessary, are indeed desirable so please no shrinking violets. Without dissent & conflict there can be no understanding and without understanding there there are only wrong decisions. Too few people stand up to bullies today.....don’t be one of them.

I would. I also would make it clear that no political party or candidate represents a Christian perspective. We are called to be separate from this world not hopelessly intertwined with politics.

Then why do you talk about politics so much? 90% of what you post is political.
