You forgot to quote the rest. For those not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or Chip, "Standards are generally high, sometimes among the best in the world."
I find it hard to believe that a Christian doesn't care about our quality of healthcare for the poor and needy. I do. Do you?

The left wants the world to believe that conservative Christians want everyone to be poor, down and out and hopeless. Conservatives realize that poor people are the most expensive segment of society so we really want them to be able to care for themselves. We care enough to point out this "healthcare for everyone" just makes more people apt to be poor down and out and unable to take care or their families all the while making big government God to the masses. Giving politicians even more power which they crave.

Big Government was never the answer to any question, especially healthcare. Never will be. Careful whom you appoint as the golden calf, you just may get it.

A good reason is that the U.S. has the worst healthcare system of any industrialized country in the world and barely ahead of Cuba. I suppose you don't care.

Yep, I see the people lining up now to charter rowboats to Cuba for their freedoms and great healthcare. Madonna when she had her child said one thing, America has the best healthcare for a reason. Thus the reason she left Europe to go back the US (not Cuba) to have her child.

Even diehard leftist know what you say is not true.

I've shown here that American Christian churches cannot afford to even provide healthcare to the needy. You support more weapons. I support more healthcare. As the classic question goes: "What would Jesus do?'

Is Madonna poor? This isn't the question.

The premise of the question is that government should be doing both. It is a false premise.

I agree. Cut the pentagon budget until a thorough audit is done to identify the trillions of $ they can't account for now. Spend the money on helping the needy.

I don't mind the audit on the Pentagon so long as it is done on all the fed. It is not the governments job to help the needy with money or services. At least not the fed.

The money is in dark programs. Secret weapons. Etc. Not a problem in my mind.

So you do not comply with the Amendments to the Constitution or the laws that have been passed by the Congress and signed by the government 225 years? I wouldn't say that in writing if I were you.

Amendments are part of the COTUS
Laws ARE NOT!!

Many laws passed by Congress are not constitutional -

Religion is constant part of Elizabeth Warren’s life

Warren shifted her focus to Matthew 25:40 — and Jesus.

“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me,” Warren said, quoting the Gospel. Then she shared her interpretation: “He’s saying to us, first, there’s God in every one of us, there’s Jesus in every one of us — however you see it in your religion, that inside there’s something holy in every single person.”

Yes Elizabeth and true charity comes from the heart of the individual, not some government agency who got their money from confiscating it from them via the tax system.

So like former Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona (found guilty of criminal contempt) you have decdided which laws you will obey and which you will not? Good luck with that.
The hearts of some genuine Christians tell them to help the needy using government funds because the churches can't afford to do that.
