If you are too dense to understand my explanation and want to insist on calling others liars for your argument, I can't help you.

Your explanation? You stated categorically the kill rate was 6%. I called you out. No explanation needed.

If someone likewise said the transmission rate was low like the flu, I'd call that out as well. Truth matters.

So, based on the number of test results in one county that reported the number of people who tested positive for COVID-19 you simply extrapolated the number of cases nationwide and used a multiplier from another [biased] test result to get an overall number of "unreported cases" of COVID-19 in the United States. Wow.

It's better than anything that you have come up with. Next you will be telling us that Biden is not creepy.

Read the actual study here: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.14.20062463v1.full.pdf

The authors state that if the accuracy of their test method was less than 97.9%, the estimate of the prevalence of COVID-19 virus would drop from 2.8% to less than 1%.

The authors admitted there were other flaws in their test. We..."selected for members of Santa Clara County with access to Facebook and a car to attend drive-through testing sites." And, "Other biases, such as bias favoring individuals in good health capable of attending our testing sites, or bias favoring those with prior COVID-like illnesses seeking antibody confirmation are also possible.

You don't get it, do you?

Truth matters.
Your "truth" is that of an ignorant jackass that consists of Strawman (a lie in and of itself) and Group-think fallacies which you use for an excuse to childishly call me a liar because you haven't a clue of how to argue to logically draw out the truth!

How do you control the posters who have been posting a false death rate for days and days?

who proclaims that the infection rate is 50x higher than the officially confirmed case in an attempt to reduce the death rate and @Calminian
zipped-lip.gif
who touts astronomical threats of suicide in comparison while refusing to do the math for himself as for the explanation given but rather prefers to invent Strawman arguments and call people liars and relies on Group-think fallacies for his figures - would be a good start!

Depends. Most have changed their view on the death rate as the evidence became incontrovertible. Those still refusing to change at this point never will. It's the Elvis rule.

To listen to you for the last ten days, one would think that all cases are reported. Don't let the truth deter your trolling.

CFR is case fatality rate. When dealing with statistics for infectious diseases, it is a commonly cited statistic calculated by dividing confirmed deaths by confirmed cases, by definition.

For the US it is 4.8% according to covid tracking
Most recent data

and 5.3% according to worldometer.
United States Coronavirus: 792,759 Cases and 42,514 Deaths - Worldometer

and 5.2% according to the CDC
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the U.S.

The CFR is also constantly changing with more testing and more time for cases to resolve as many cases are still active and we don’t know if they will die or not.

We know there are undetected cases and undetected deaths so the IFR or infection fatality rate will be different, likely lower than CFR because it is easier to miss cases than deaths. IFR is unknown until we can retrospectively look back on undiagnosed cases and deaths which can’t really happen fully until the pandemic is over. We can try to estimate undetected cases with serology testing but that is just a snapshot in a rapidly changing picture so it is hard to extrapolate beyond the here and now. And many serological tests are still being validated as many of them may be picking up non-covid19 coronavirus immune responses.

I get that it was a flawed study with built-in biases.

No, you attempted to assault the reputation of Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, attempted to assault the methods of the study by misquoting the actual protocol or making up something in your opinion, and now you are charging biases. You have no evidence for any of your assertions nor does anyone reputable support your assault of Dr. Bhattacharya.

I quoted the ACTUAL STUDY they wrote that talked about flaws in their methodology! I quoted their own words.

No, I quoted how they compensated for the sample. You never addressed the German study. As you know, there is a balm in Gilead. We are not going to succumb to this Chinese virus from the Wuhan Institute although people who have stock in multinationals doing business in China are going to suffer dollar losses because Americans refuse to buy anything else from that Communist pit.

Well, now we have another study from Los Angeles that says maybe 55 times as many people have had the virus as have been reported. We still have nothing from you and Benjamin except your hunches and your worst wishes.
