NOLA Mayor fears CIA may take him out

ooooookaay.

Sounds like that Lt. General that's leading the National Guard in NO REALLY needs to be in charge of this operation after all. The mayor has clearly no business leading people in such a panicked state.

This guy is a moron. There are disaster plans in place, and perhaps they didn't or even haven't worked as well as hoped but I would think that this scale of the disaster would have been hard to even grasp, much less plan for. The point is that chains of command and responsibility have long been planned for and are constantly being reviewed. Nagin is a moron if he expected to have resources on the ground immediately. Given the obvious transportation limitations now, it was inevitable that it took a while to get things in place. Given the scale, I'm sure a long list of lessons learned has already begun. Those lessons don't necessarily involve a lot of finger pointing except for those looking to score political points.

New Orleans needs a new mayor.

Almost anyone will do ...except maybe the governor. :D

This is actually a very common mindset in the black community. Instead of dealing with shortcommings, some blame the CIA. Some black leaders have blamed AIDs in there community on Jews and the CIA. They accuse the CIA and others of bringing Cocaine into the community. (its never the dealer or users fault.) And now this, I am not surprised. What a quack! Someday, this community will reach the greatness they are capable of, but not until they stop blaming all of there shortcommings on the CIA.

Is the mayor black?

If he is the PC police will be after us soon. Or Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton will be here screaming racism.

But only if there are cameras around.

I actually like the mayor. I don't like some of his languagre, but I think he one of the few government officials on any level who has reacted with vim and vigor during this disaster.

Certainly, Governor Blanco and President Bush get failing marks for their very poor leadership.

Well I guess I shall have to take your word for it, when I hit the link, it says "Page not found". Maybe the CIA is all powerful like that...heheh.

From the link above

Last night he told a reporter for the Associated Press: "If the CIA slips me something and next week you don't see me, you'll all know what happened."

Today he told interviewers for CNN on a live broadcast he feared the "CIA might take me out."

Nagin resorted to vulgarity and profanity yesterday in his pleas for help. But he was actually calmer today, despite the hyperbole.

Yes he is black. I saw Al Sharpton on Fox News last night. He actually made sense. Go figure.

I haven't heard anything from Jesse Jackson, and that's okay with me.

If any reader doubts this, I dare him to tune in to a black radio station and listen to the talk shows. I've done this for dozens of hours, maybe hundreds, over the last ten years. You will be astounded at what they say about Jews, Asians, and "European-Americans."

Nagin is just one more.

He's been down in Venezuela hobnobbing with another Communist dictator...excuse me, agrarian reformer.

Possibly Ken.

But to think the CIA is going to take him out?

Shows a little instability, don't you think?
Given the circumstances, I'm overlooking the comments.
