Earlier this year I started a small FB group that was meant to provide an uplifting ministry to those who became members as well as those who stopped by to visit!

Over the last four months, the ministry has literally exploded, and it is taking more and more of my time to run it! I have an established list of Moderators who help me out as run the many different pages that have been started as a result of this ministry, yet, it requires a lot of me, so I am choosing to spend less time here, and more time there!

Over my years on the board, I have made a few very good friendships, and you are the ones I will miss the most! And while I am not leaving the board for negative reasons, I must confess, I have grown tired of the name calling, insinuations and innuendos tossed at me from time-to-time, like spiritual hand grenades!

The ministry I have started at FB has proved that you can have an uplifting ministry without the debates, and arguments that are disguised as debates. There is so much less stress when you can spend your time lifting up Jesus in order to lift up others, that I have to say, that some of you should try it!

On my FB ministry, I have successfully crossed denominational lines, something like heaven will be like, and demonstrated that those who have come to Jesus and love Him above anything else, can get along.

I am not leaving the BB, however, I will not be here as often as I once was, as I believe I should be spending my time in an environment that is built around loving one another more than destroying one another because of doctrinal issues and theology.

Let me just say, that when we get to heaven, there will not be separate sections or neighborhoods for Baptist's, Calvinists, Methodists, Assembly of Gods, etc. We will ALL be singing, not from hymnals, or from words flashed on a screen at the front of the the Throne of God! There will not be discussions over the likes and dislikes of contemporary music versus, hymns. We will be singing the songs God puts before us and in out hearts, and it will come from the heart and not the denominationally approved list of songs!

No one will care if you got there before, during or after the tribulation!

No one will care if you think you were special and chosen, or elected, or just in eternity because God's grace covered your sin and you had the fortune to hear the word and make your own decision to accept his gift of grace, like the thief on the cross or the man with just the shirt on his back!

No one will care what your opinions or views were here on earth, or your postion in church! Those in heaven will be there based upon one thing: His sacrifice and their acceptance of that sacrifice in accordance with John 3:16.

No one will be in heaven based on the version of the Bible they preached from; read; or believed was the best!

No one will care if your crown is so heavy that you will need an angel to help you carry it around the grounds of heaven!

No one will care how many debates you won or lost on the Baptist Board.

No one will care if you spoke in tongues, or not! In heaven we'll all speak in love as God gives us to speak!

No one will care about anything your did on this earth, because your being in heaven only depended upon what He did here on earth to purchase your debt and get you back into the family of God!

I plan to stop by from time-to-time, and maybe tender a poll or two? So, you all take care; be safe; and try to treat each other with the kind of respect that you will be expected to give one another in heaven!

Peace. Shalom. Selah. And most of all, Maranatha Lord Jesus, Maranatha! :jesus:

Love you all,

Pastor Paul :type:

WHY this OP???

Only to calm any friends who may start to wonder/worry when I am not around! I do not want anyone to do a post on me where they ask, has anyone seen or heard from RD2?

That's cause you are a popular guy. I took six months off and nobody noticed :).

I disappeared for several years. When I came back it was asked "who is this guy and how does he have some many posts?"

I noticed you weren't here when I came back :wavey:

With ministry and health concerns, I cut way back in past years (still trying to moderate food fights as needed). Recently I've been back a lot more, trying to segregate the C/A mess back to a separate forum so the rest of this place would be more enjoyable.

Enjoy a reduced visibility/profile, RD, and know you will be missed. Kinda.

Dr. Bob, your efforts are much appreciated. Thank you for putting the C/A forum back.

RD2, best wishes for your endeavors on FB. You will be missed here.

Roger...I missed you...and RD2...I do wish you well. I appreciate the things you said in your "departure" message above. Heaven will be the great "equalizer"....no divisions or "parting" over there! Praise God! I'd love to check out your forum but my wife and I have chosen to NOT facebook. I presume that is what you meant by "FB". I wish you well and hope to see you here from time to time.

Don't underestimate yourself...

I missed you and wondered where you went! Welcome back after a long break! I hope you find things to your liking! We've had some strange people join in your absence, strange in how they view some sin and the need for the church to face those sins and be more involved!

While browsing in the archives I discovered this thread.

It's very interesting rd2. You started it a year ago, but I think your presence on the BB has been more, and not less than previously. Your post count is 2.5 per day and in the last 17 days you have started 36 threads. You're not keeping much of a low profile.

rd2, in part you stated,

"I am not leaving the BB, however, I will not be here as often as I once was, as I believe I should be spending my time in an environment that is built around loving one another more than destroying one another because of doctrinal issues and theology."

I know the feeling brother.

It would appear that some folks are so in need of recognition they pull up all the stops. Accordingly, I am getting to be a bit like you. Enough of the nonsense already!!! If folks can't come together in the right spirit then what's the point of coming together to begin with?

Sorry this took so long. Are you saying that Rippon is a troll? I agree with you brother, on that point, but it is my ersonality to not allow these trolls to get off a cheap shot. And I have a problem when they attack others that I like on this board, so I will ride to their rescue.

I am doing somewhat better at not taking troll talk and troll criticism to heart. I need to let it roll off the shoulders! Especially if I encouraged or engaged them.

Again, thanks! :thumbs::wavey:
