You cannot escape the deceivers posting on this board without careful bible study, because there are a slew of them, all slinging the same corrupt hash.

The truth is not derived by accepting what I say, but in your determination of exactly what does God's word say.

Do not let the deceivers change the subject, just read Romans 5:1-2 and decide if the passage says we gain access to grace by faith.
Yes the elect gain access to grace by faith, they dont get saved by faith. They come into the knowledge of the Grace that saved them by Jesus Christ. They gain knowledge of their election of grace. Faith isnt a condition of election of grace, its a gift given in consequence of election of grace.

On and on, but never even addressing the fiction of instilled faith after regeneration after being transferred into Christ spiritually.

Folks we were chosen for salvation through, or on the basis of, faith in the truth. Faith could NOT be instilled in us by Irresistible Grace BEFORE we were chosen to receive it. The whole doctrine is idiotic nonsense.

Here is the ploy of a grifter. First the say the right thing. Then they claim it meant the wrong thing.

What was said "the elect" (those already chosen) gain access to grace (after they have already received grace) by (the gift of) faith.

However, scripture says we are chosen through or on the basis of our faith, if credited by God as righteousness.

Jesus commanded people to repent and believe the gospel, so this is something that unsaved individuals can do.

Mark 1:15

And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

“Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness” (Rom. 4:4-5).

Consider Romans 5:2, which says "we have gained access by faith, into this grace...."

I say, post # 53: "First he agrees faith provides access to grace, but then returns to the vomit, and claims God's grace instills faith. Insanity on display!

So this Calvinist rewrite changes "we have gained access by faith" to we have been given faith to gain access.

Never-mind, the faith is given by "irresistible grace" thus the Calvinist lunacy is God's grace gives us faith by which we gain access to -wait for it - grace. One would think we had access to grace when we were given faith by grace. But no, the insanity defense just merrily marches on, ignoring reality to hide false doctrine.

Do not let the deceivers change the subject, just read Romans 5:1-2 and decide if the passage says we gain access to grace by faith. If you can see that it does, then you know the sequence,

1) we were exposed to the gospel
2) we understood it and embraced it, putting our "faith" in the name of Christ.
3) God then credited our faith, as worthless as it might have been, as righteousness.
4) Thus we gained access to God's grace by faith.
Next, consider the implication - we were chosen for salvation NOT unconditionally, but "through faith in the truth" when God credited our faith as righteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:13

Bottom line we gained access to having our faith credited as righteousness, when we trusted in Christ, and then IF God chose to credit our faith, an act of His grace, we also were chosen for salvation, His act of additional grace, the grace in which we now stand.

Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
