OK it takes both. Senate won't convict.. Trump won't resign.

The Democrats will pass a bill of impeachment through the House. They promised it to Maxine Waters and the other socialists.

I think that the Dems will try to stop the investigation onto homosexual sex trafficking in the RCC because they want to protect Pope Francis, who is a daily critic of the USA. Just sayin.

I'm please with tonight's result. Bummer to lose the house, but we now have a solid Senate and easy confirmation process. That's going to throw a monkey wrench in a lot of Dem schemes. Sessions, is likely on his way out, and a new AG will be a game changer.

It's a big win for the Dems. It allows them to impeach Trump.

Yes disappointing mostly because of 2 more years of congressional deadlock.
Waters won't be able to help herself and foolishly file for impeachment of President Trump.

Already DNC scuttlebutt about POTUS cell phone usage and disclosure of tax returns

Pelosi was making overtures that there will be bipartisanship now that the DNC is back in charge of the house - NOT GONNA' HAPPEN because of subpoenas galore!

Last night more or less went how I thought it would although I am somewhat alarmed at the measure the dems took the house.

Yes, amazing,

Checks and balances. Separation of powers. The system is still working.

The good news, can't stop the appointment of SCOTUS justices (unless more shameless "scandals" are brought forth with no evidence whatsoever).

Presumably 1 or 2 will be needed, maybe.

Agreed, but remember the republicans took 60 seats in the house in ‘10, of course they did little with what we gave them.

I agree with you. 80% of Democrats want impeachment. After you attack a person and his family for every little thing everyday for two years and daily call him Hitler and threaten to blow up the White House, etc., you almost have to impeach or admit that you lied all the way.

The cell phone stuff comes from Obama, who knows nothing. The phone could just be a wireless connection to a secure line--Obama is not very high tech.

I agree with you that the Dems have already said that they are going to issue subpoenas galore. It will brutal everyday just as before. The Dems act like Westboro Baptist Church in that they said that Trump was responsible for the murder of Jews in Pittsburgh and then they said a la Westboro that he should not go to the funerals. It will never end. They will say that they did not get full power so they do not have to be civil just yet.

Think of the song that is always played at Trump rallys.....You Can’t Always Get What You Want........followed by, but you get what you need. Always plays it. Trump campaigned hard for the senate, & barely for the house. Do you think there might be a reason for that? Doh. Everybody wins today, the country will not go down to riots. We may be more unified, who knows, lets see what the dems do with it. God is with us, in His infinite wisdom. We must try, although we often fail, to do His will.

The much vaunted "blue wave" was more like a stagnant pool. Worst performance in the mid terms by the party out of power in many years.

Impeach goes through the House; conviction takes place in the Senate. Trump will be impeached. Hillary was lying when she said that she would be civil after winning.

I don't think democrats in the House have enough votes to impeach. The majority is just too small. If they do, they won't control the House again after 2020.

So, have at it.:Laugh

Now it is the Republicans turn to RESIST and they probably will because of the hateful subpoena blitz to be unleashed by Ms Pelosi and Ms Waters.

NOTHING the Democrats do in the House including and especially with Ocare will make it through the Senate because of the Republicans seeking vengeance for the subpoena tsunami.

Two more years of gridlock worse than ever.

Personally I blame the RNC for the loss of the House.
Anemic campaigning for congressional seats along with Ryan asleep at the helm.

Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z.

We can see what a real get-out-to-vote campaign looks like by observing President Trump's senatorial campaign blitzkrieg of the last 2 weeks.

There will probably be some phony bipartisan hugs and kisses but by the time of house and senate member installation the troops will be tightly entrenched until 2020.

That’s why Ryan stayed. Mr Globalist did his part to hand off the football. The worst ever. Why did repubs allow it? So typical of them. Trump is the only true leader who has come down the pike in a long time.

The Dems will have to impeach the Nazi or they will be Nazi collaborators. Imagine what would have happened if the Dems had picked up the Senate. They would have made the attacks even worse than now, day and night, 24/7. The Dems are ruled by white plantation owners and as the demographics change, they will be lumped in with all other whites. Doesn't everyone already know that Pelosi is as insane as Waters?

They vote in lockstep. Pelosi totally controls the money. One of the new members of the Congress is a woman who was married to her brother for a number of years. So the bar is not too high.

I have the feeling that President Trump is going to use the Senate as a Democratic House Bill Hammer of Destruction if the DNC allows the Pelosi, Waters storm of subpoenas and investigations to become a reality.

Its up to them, "You want your 'pre-existing Condition Clause'? stop the subpoena nonsense!" (of course this is not the primary reason for supporting the clause).

They won't bargain because they have the upper hand. A friend of mine saw Pelosi once when she came in a Washington DC restaurant where he was. He said that she is certifiable. She has been refused communion by the RCC because of her vehement support of the murder of the unborn which netted her a Vatican court ruling. Also, Pope Benedict declined to have his picture taken with her. Her face is expressionless because she has botox shots all the time to make herself look young.

It should be an interesting Circus show.

I seriously doubt it. One thing that's going to happen as result of Trump increasing the Senate, is easy confirmations which will mean a new AG. Sessions and Rosenstein's days are now limited, which means Mueller's days are limited.

Impeachment will be meaningless, as the Senate will not convict, and will be politically disastrous as well.
