Obama's folks probably read the reports of how his approval rate goes down the more he speaks in public. Better to lay low.

Shhh....

they don't have a clue. They think he's some kind of super salesman, just because he sold them a bill of goods.

Good point.
But they demonstrated that they can learn from mistakes. During the campaign Michelle was making odd statements every week such as 'Barak will fix our souls' and that sort of thing. They eventually got her to settle down.

Who were the worst?

Well, IMO:
  • #4: Carter--sheer metrics of his administration ("Misery index").
  • #3: Johnson--the Civil Rights bill is pretty much all he did right. Vietnam's enough to put him here, but there was much more.
  • #2: Nixon--what a crook.
  • #1: Harding--unparalleled corruption. Some of the junk Harding put us through eventually led to the Great Depression.
And that's just in the past century. There's 3-4 from the 19th century that were horrible...and 3-4 more that were really bad.

No, Bush was not a particularly good president IMO (and I've not said otherwise). But the worst? Come on. That shows a gret deal of ignorance regarding presidential history.

There is no such thing as a "vacation" for the "POTUS". Just a change of scenery.

It's 24/7/365/4 (or 8) and an extra day for leap year.

No, he's an alcoholic in recovery. An alcoholic is an alcoholic his/her entire life. Once s/he becomes sober, s/he is a recovering alcoholic, and spends his/her entire life recovering.

Just a minor correction... he's a Christian with an alcohol addiction from which he's in recovery. His identity is in Christ... not in alcoholism nor even his job as POTUS.
