Obama: Don't Worry If It's 'Socialist Theory or Capitalist Theory...Just Decide What Works'

He certainly said all of those things. However, that is not all He said. God's word is not a buffet.

God also said, "Vengeance is mine". So retribution and vengeance is not a command to us. In face it is the opposite.

  • Turn the other cheek
  • Go the extra mile
  • Give you cloak also
No were in the words of Christ can you show where Christ said to give out retribution or to exact vengeance.

I should not have used the word retribution nor is it true that there are only two options ....grace or retribution. That would be a false dichotomy. There are certainly times when grace is not appropriate and in fact would be harmful. For instance, as someone who has had his own experiences I know that there are times when giving a drug or alcohol addicted person some money even for food would do more harm than good. Witholding that food is not retribution but needful as giving it to them allows them to further conduct their poor behavior. Whether you give them money or food it will allow them to carry on. Sometimes those folks need to do without for a time in order for them to begin to understand what they are doing to themselves.

God tells us in I Cor 5:5 that someone should be sent out from the church and "turned over to Satan"...so that his spirit may be saved.

Further, Jesus never said in all circumstances give grace. He was very specific and made no effort to cover every scenario. We have to be careful how we dole out the words of Jesus in exclusion of other portions of scripture as if some of God's word is more important than others.

All scripture is breathed out by God. Not just some of it.

Rom 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

1Pe 2:14 KJV Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

Yes or No: did BO violate that sacred tenet as we, through the Navy Seals, took vengeance against bin laden?

Let me clarify what I mean by Democrat indifference to the plight of poor whites in the rural areas.

The recent QE tacitly approved by the Democrats made a lot of Democrats very rich from the stock market.

Nevertheless, since FDR poor rural whites have been ignored. Although all American cities are in decay, the rural areas are in even more decay in the rust belt Midwest. Democrat tax policy has hampered small business. Warehouses and factories have longed been closed. High-priced energy is exorbitant in areas where everyday distances are long. The open borders have brought deadly drug addictions into isolated poverty-stricken areas such as southern Indiana. Federal interference in education, started after World War II, has made the school systems even worse. Big cities such as Indianapolis have some of the worst schools in the world, thanks in part to the federal government. Small-town school systems have also fallen prey to the Democrats socialistic educational policy of the reprobate John Dewey.

The Democrats have over-regulated agriculture since 1932 so that Indiana land owners are rich but no one else is. Northern Indiana is awash in wealthy land owners propped up from any real work by federal mandates.

In short, the Democrats have no sociology for rural areas. The overpaid leftist professors at Indiana University and Purdue University are more interested in some bogus federal research grant than the suffering in the rural areas. The Democrats have never been interested in that subject. It is Democrat thinking and policy that has caused the economic depression among the common people in the rural areas.

What poor people need is less government on all levels. It is time to call the New Deal what it is--the dirtiest deal ever.

Thanks to advances in technology, "You don't have to settle for the world as it is; you can create the world as you want it to be," President Barack Obama told young people in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday. "You have the freedom to build the world in powerful and disruptive ways."

One of the young community organizers at the town hall picked up on that point, saying she honestly believes that the world needs to change. She asked Obama for his advice on creating social change -- in her case, by empowering young people living in poverty.

In the course of answering the question, the president indicated that the "sharp division" between "capitalist and communist or socialist" is starting to blur, and instead of clinging to any one of those ideologies, people should just do what works to create change:

"o often in the past, there's been a sharp division between left and right, between capitalist and communist or socialist," Obama said. "And especially in the Americas, that's been a big debate, right? Oh, you know, you're a capitalist Yankee dog, and oh, you know, you're some crazy communist that's going to take away everybody's property.

"And, I mean, those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works. You don't have to worry about whether it neatly fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory -- you should just decide what works."

Perhaps that needed to be qualified a bit more. To a degree he's right as our society here in the United States has always contained to a degree both socialist and capitalist theory.

And deciding what works doesn't mean throwing out other stuff that works in tandem or doing away with Constitutional constructs. It seems to be more of an appeal for them to try different "sub-methods" per se that still fall underneath the umbrella of a system of governing that has allowed the US to flourish.

If pragmatism were to be the guide, then everything Obama has done has been totally impractical, but then Obama's stuff is leftist theory that has never worked in all of human history.

He doesn't follow his own advice. He keeps repeating his failures. He never learns.

No, he never learns and he never seems to add up all the deaths caused by Communism, even in Cuba. No wonder the Communist Cuban press published a racial slur about Obama because they consider him a phony. Obama's only legacy is the Obamaphone.
