"Real Christians?"

ADr35Z4TvATIc.gif
I'm reading a book called "The Christian Atheist: Believing in God but Living As If He Doesn't Exist." I'm afraid these people are far too common especially in America. There simply is no place for hate in an authentic Christian. This includes hate against blacks, Muslims, Hispanics, immigrants, the poor, etc. The only people that Jesus ever really lashed out against were the hypocrites (scribes and Pharisees). I see a lot of hypocrites in the church today and it greatly saddens me because they arer doing immeasurable harm to Christianity. Supporting an obviously immoral man like Trump also did a great deal of damage.

Christians were not hating against those groups, but we are against radical Islam, Black lives matters, and sick of having us shown as homophobs for agreeing on God definantion of real marriage, and labeling us hating women as believe no Abortion!

You have made the mistake of separating what you call "the Gospel of social justice/works" from the gospel of the cross. They are the same gospel and cannot be separated.

If you take up your cross (die to yourself and enter into the life of Jesus), your message will encompass both. One of the great errors in Baptist and evangelical circles today is to assume that the gospel is an atonement transaction to get to "Heaven" that has nothing to do with Jesus calling people into discipleship and obedience. Jesus and Paul DID NOT teach different things. Paul's audience (already followers of Jesus) already know the message of Jesus, so they interpreted Paul's writings by Jesus. Paul would be horrified by the way people have perverted the gospel into a legalistic transaction that smacks of death insurance. If you are not serving others and striving for justice, you can know that you are not of Jesus.

You are truly preaching another gospel if you ignore either the cross or doing good/justice.
Absolutely. We are saved by Grace through faith which the Holy Spirit engenders in us. But Jesus said to Nicodemus: "You must be born again." Why must we be born again? To achieve salvation and attain a personal relationship with Christ. Being born again results in a dramatic change in our lives. We enter the upside/down world of true Christianity.
Mat 10:39
“He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
Mat 20:16
“So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”[fn]
The almighty God, Lord of the universe washed his disciples feet.
Mar 10:21
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Why do you suppose Paul said this if we punched out ticket to heaven 20 years ago when we shook the pastor's hand??
Phl 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

the Gospel of the Cross of Christ is NOT the social Gospel though, as the One of the Cross saves, while the social ones mean others helped up physically, but not spiritually!

So you don't accept the Biblical passages I quoted but chose to go along with your own idea, right? There is no separation between salvation by the cross and the subsequent need to build and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus never said come and believe on me. He said pick up your cross and FOLLOW me. There's no such thing as the "social gospel." You support the "easy believerism idea which was introduced into SBC theology in the 1950's to pack the pews. It's well-liked because it doesn't require that a Christian put everything on the line.

I am stating that the Gospel is Just salvation proper, and once saved , THEn we can get as social as want to, There are churches that neglect the Cross for salvation, and see Christian as just doing the Golden Rule unto othersis all required to be right with God!
