And World War II was, monetarily speaking, a massive federal government stimulus spending program.

FDR's plans didn't do any more good than they did because he thought too small. That's why we need to avoid that mistake and make sure that this new stimulus program is probably in the $1.5 to $2.0 trillion range over the next two years.

That's a very jaded and warped view of WWII, as well as factually inaccurate.

That would, at least , have some basis in fact.

It certainly cured the unemployment problem. 300,000 dead men will definitely change the stats.

Maybe we should expand the war in Iraq and Afghanistan to bring us out of the recession.

Obama isn't interested in ending it any time soon.

So the recession will last 20 years instead of 10 or O'bama will get us in a world war 5 years sooner than Roosevelt.

One thing that can be said about Roosevelt: He was the first of the great con artists like Clinton and O'bama. While he was destroying food and the American people were standing in bread lines he convinced them the New Deal was their salvation.
