So the common question nowadays is: Now that Obama is in office as our President of the United States, who is still for him and who is against him? why or why not? I can't wait to read the responses :D

I'm praying FOR him, but I am AGAINST many of his policies.

Hmmm, I'm getting good at this- maybe I should run for office.

Should have posted in the politics forum. However, as it stands now, I have never been fond of Obama's political direction for this nation and quite likely never will be. If he should find away to end abortion he might win my support. Might looms large because, just as I voiced my opinion opposing bail outs and out of control spending from our last POTUS, this one is not likely to get any support from me anytime soon. :BangHead:

I didnt know that there are certain laws that signify that one should post something in the 'politics' forum, but whatever

No! No "laws".

But 'rules' generally followed for subject interest, organization and avoidance purposes to serve the interest of forum members.

News and current events...... discussions derived from news and current developements or attention to news items: usually 3 page limit and thread closes between 21-29 postings. Political forum, items or persons and discussions of political interests: discussion generally more heated, may be closed earlier.... but can stay open for postings up to 10 pages long.

There you have it!

Don't sweat it! Just know if topic gets moved.... chances are it went to a different forum.

He is my President, and he is a refreshing change in an office that needed invigorating. I would vote Yay on most of what he is advocating, but a reserved stance on some of the financial policies. No one knows if they will work, but even Mr. Obama concedes that if they don't, he will be a one-term President.

He has just appointed the most pro abortion secretary of Health and Human services in the history of our country. She is a rabid supporter of all abortion, including paritial birth. Strike one. He has promised to pass a law which would outlaw secret ballot voting for Union recognition votes, this making pressure a tool aginst anyone wanting to vote against recognition. Strike two. He has more than doubled the natioial debt in his first six weeks in office, and in the process wiped out more of the nation's wealth in a faster fashion than any president before him. That's three.

In his case, i vote an appropriate NYET!

He is also wanting to send 1.8 billion US Dollars to the Hamas terrorist thugs to rebuild Gaza. Not only could we use that money here, but we have no business supporting a group that is at war against oun of our strongest friends (Israel).

I was never for him; and still am not.

However, I am happy to pray along with my church every Sunday for the President, the Cabinet, and other leaders, as we should.
