The President does not order all actions of the government. No one person could do this. It is not humanly possible. The President is the Chief Executive, not the one who orders every government employee personally. Good managers MUST delegate. This entire thread is a misguided slam by the typical cast of characters who look for anything to pin on the President. If you guys would criticize valid things rather than this type of junk, you might have a chance at winning another election. There is no rational reason he would have ordered this. He wasn't president during 09/11. There is no reason for him to order a photo op in Lower Manhattan. So he feigns being furious, big deal. It was his order to do it. Perhaps he wanted to fly recon to give more info to our enemies under cover of a "photo op." He shows every day just how arrogant he is and how he hates Americans.

However, when the president surrounds himself with people that have such monumental lapses in judgement...does that not speak poorly of the president as a judge of character and/or aptitude?

That has been the achilles of several commanders in chief...and it just might be Obama's.

He got caught doing a very dumb thing. But, he "has a gift" and Americans love him, regardless....what a jerk, and that is being nice.

I am proud to be an American and want to do my part. I will therefore return all my deposit bottles to the redemption center (good for the environment) and use the money to buy Photoshop and donate it to the White House Press Office. Then they can safely produce pictures of Air Force 1 in front of any background without startling the general public.

I'm not quite ready to declare President Obama's administration a failure over this unfortunate faux pas. It has been under 100 days. There will be ample opportunity in the years to come.

There are plenty of photographs and videos of him all over the place in every news outlet and stock photographs to photoshop without wasting more taxpayer money. But his ego apparently knows no bounds and I really think there is more to it (sinister) than just his inflated arrogance and ego. I've never said that Obama does no wrong. I do not agree with his pro-choice stance but he has the right to believe what he wants about something that is not against the law. I don't know what his view on homosexuality is but what does it matter? I could care less. One's view on homosexuality does not qualify or disqualify them from being President.
