Obama Considering Amnesty by Presidential Fiat...

The latest on amnesty and the WH is that Obama is considering a Presidential Parole. He's been warned by some Republican Senators that this would not be good for the nation, but, he is rumored to be ready to grant this "parole" in an effort to end this grid-lock in the argument for, or against amnesty.

Think of the ramifications for the November election... possibly 8 million new votes for Democrats.

What do you think about his latest attempt to circumvent the will of the American people ???

Fact Check: Even if Mr. Obama did this, it would not add any new voters of any party by November. They are not citizens, and currently no State allows non-citizens to vote. Furthermore, becoming a citizen requires one to be a lawful permanent resident for five years before applying for naturalization.

That may be the law - but it does not stop illegal aliens from voting anyway. :tear:

I think it should serve as a wake up call to the American people that we need a fundamental change in our government. It is time for the states to remind the federal government that it is the states that created them, not the other way around.

It is time that a federal government understands that it is the servant to the states, not the states as servant to the federal government. It is time that that the federal government that its powers are limited by the Constitution of these united states.

"no State allows non-citizens to vote."

Several states have issued illegals drivers lic. for years and all getting a lic. are given voter registration forms.

I agree. But that concept was dealt a severe blow this week when the Supreme Court overturned a Chicago gun control law.

Fact Check - Not This Time!

Paul,

I gave you one "fact check." There will not be another. If Obama was to grant this fast track to citizenship, it is my understanding that he will more than likely gain the confidence and support of every legal Mexican across this country, and by 2012, an additional 8 to 12 million, paroled,or, allowed to apply for work permits, and whatever else this administration wants to grant them under a 'parole/defer' action order.

Wake up and smell the "Kool-aide". This POTUS is doing what he wants, not what the people want. And, he is plotting his return to a second term with some kind of "quick-fix" to a drawn out fight on amnesty, which he knows he could lose after November. This is why he needs to take this unusual action before November, and this is why I say he'll add 8 million democratic votes to his side.

There is no doubt in my mind that Obama will win the hearts of Mexicans all over this country if he is allowed to sneak this fast-track form of amnesty through; something like he did with the Health-care bill.

He has shown to me, that he doesn't care about the process that made this nation great. He just wants to get his way, and, it is by any means he sees as legal, or, close to being legal.

I gave you one Fact Check, because I was wrong, but, NOT THIS TIME BABY! :wavey: Nice try, but, you only get one free kick per game, and this game ain't over til you hear the "fat-lady sing!"

I agree. But that concept was dealt a severe blow this week when the Supreme Court overturned a Chicago gun control law.

Neither states no cities have the power, nor the right, to ignore the Constitution.

SCOTUS simply struck down a law that violated the 2nd Amendment rights of all the citizens affected.

It's not a "states rights" issue at all.
