OBEDIENCE. part - 1

Many still debating what means FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE. And as always, many explanation given only dancing around the issue but never pinpoint to the core context and true meaning of these special and great qualities.

1Corinthians 13.13
13."And now FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE, abide these three and the greatest of these is LOVE."

While Bible perfectly explains their true nature and their magnitude of importance in human soul, still, most of the Christians prefer other explanations which are mostly based on the doctrines, dogmas, and traditions of the church.

But these essential ingredients of LOVE are not fully complete yet, it lacks another essential quality which majority of the Christian prefer to ignore - the OBEDIENCE.

To simplify the matter, we can assume that LOVE contains everything, Faith, Hope, Mercy, Obedience, and other vital and fundamental qualities that are necessary to be qualify and reaching high spiritual perfection before GOD, as humanly possible.

While most of the Christian claim that they have Faith, they very rarely, hardly ever, talk about Hope and Love.

The Hope for many Christians does not represent assurance of "salvation" with which church stuffed the heads of their parishioners.

The Love, in the view of the church, should not go beyond fake smiles, hands shakes, hugs, and kisses.

And of course OBEDIENCE practically never mentioned inside the walls of the church, and this is not surprising at all. OBEDIENCE has direct relation to the Commandments, Statutes, Ordinances, and Commandments of the Lord, and because of it, the clergy, as well as worshipers, get a fright of it just like of COVID-19.

And because many Christians considered themselves already "saved" and "reserved" for themselves already a dwelling in Heaven, where is nothing left to Obey, because "salvation" is already granted, assured, and guaranteed.

But OBEDIENCE is essential and vital part of ingredients of LOVE, because without OBEDIENCE to GOD and His Statutes, His Commandments, and His Laws, means His Words, it is naturally impossible to have FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE as a part of personality, because all these three qualities express themselves in OBEDIENCE to GOD, and OBEDIENCE to GOD expresses itself in those three qualities. No matter how you turn it, the result always will be the same.

Genesis 22.18
18."and by your Offspring (Genesis 22.18, 26.4) (Acts 3.25) (Galatians 3.16) shall of the nations of the Earth gain blessing for themselves (Genesis 12.3, 22.18, 26.4, 28.14) (Acts 2.39, 3.25) (Galatians 3.8), because you have OBEYED My voice."

Genesis 26.5
5."because Abraham OBEYED My voice and kept My Commandments, My Statues, and My Laws."

Deuteronomy 28.1-2
1."If you will only OBEY the Lord your GOD by diligently observing all His Commandments that I am commanding you, the Lord your GOD will set you high above all the nations of the Earth,

2.all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you OBEY the Lord your GOD."

Ecclesiastes 8.5
5."Whoever OBYES a command, will meet no harm, and the wise mind will know the time and way."

Matthew 7.21
21."Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one WHO DOES THE WILL of My Father in Heaven."

Mark 3.35
35."WHOEVER DOES THE WILL of GOD is My brother and sister and mother.”

Luke 11.27-28
28.But He said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of GOD and OBEY it!”

Acts 5.29.32
29.But Peter and the Apostles answered, “We must OBEY GOD rather than any human authority. (Isaiah 29.13) (Matthew 15.9) (Mark 7.6-9.13) (Acts 4.19, 5.29) (Colossians 2.20-22) (Titus 1.14)

32.And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit Whom GOD has given to those who OBEY Him."

1John 3.22.24
22.and we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we OBEY His Commandments and do what pleases Him.

24.All who OBEY His Commandments abide in Him and He abides in them. And by this we know that He abides in us by the Spirit that He has given us. (John 10.30, 17.11.22)

(These two passages above definitely prove that not for nothing GOD gives His Holy Spirit to His true worshipers.)

One day, a Prophet was sitting on a cloud staring down at all of the Saints still living on Earth. Jesus came along and sat next to him.

"These people still don't listen" complained the Prophet to the Lord. "They offer lukewarm prayers on Sunday and are back to living like children of perdition on Monday. They lie and cheat and steal. They have no love for one another. They ignore your commandments. They really are worthless and unprofitable servants!"

Jesus turned towards the Prophet and exclaimed "HEY! That's My wife you're talking about."

I've read this a couple times now and I'm still not sure what it is your expounding.

Many of these words are related certainly. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith using the word hope and the relationship between these is clear throughout God's word. The Spirit of God from which we receive faith, hope, love, mercy, etc. is a common source.

In your opinion what does it mean to be obedient? You are linking many terms together please explain how they are linked with obedience.

I never like jokes about our Lord, and I do not see any truth in joke you presented. Jokes usually based on disrespect, sarcasm, envy, and even hatred. Yes, some jokes exposing a certain portion of truth, but it also depends to what subject or matter joke related to.

Jesus, must be taken seriously, He is the Holy Spirit Who created you, gave you life, and Sacrificed Himself for you, there is no place for Christ in our jokes. I consider such jokes disrespectful, demoralizing, and even sinful.

For that matter, even many will disagree with me, I have to give some credit to Muslims, who willing even to kill for defilement, tarnishing, and disrespect to their god. I am certainly do not approve their methods of murder and beheading, but for their zest, deep believe, faith, and intolerance to any insult and disrespect for their god, I have to give them some credit.

On the other hand it seems to me that some "Christians" do not care much if someone defile and tarnishing their GOD and treating the Lord Jesus Christ with disrespect. May be because we have "freedom of speech" and no matter what this "freedom" allow to do, the Christian society pay not much attention and pay no concern about it.

I see big difference between true freedom of speech and straight forward insult and disrespect to the most precious, valued, treasured, and dear ideals in our heart.

And such precious ideal is our Lord Jesus Christ.

Please do not make such jokes any more. What you will say to the Lord in your defense then you will facing Him?

I thought that all quotes I presented are self-explanatory.

OK, I can explain it, why not?

FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE.

Is it possible to have FAITH without HOPE, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE? Certainly not. Because if a person do not have HOPE, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE, how such person can proof and express his FAITH to the Lord. In what kind of way he or she could show their FAITH to the Lord without HOPING on Him, without having FAITH in Him, and without LOVING Him?!

Is it possible to have HOPE without FAITH, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE? Certainly not. Because if a person have no HOPE in GOD, FAITH, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE do not even exist in such person. If a person have not HOPE on GOD, he or she are nonbelievers or atheists, and of course they have nothing to do with FAITH, LOVE, and OBEDIENCE, because without HOPE on GOD it is impossible to believe in GOD.

Is it possible to have LOVE without FAITH, HOPE, and OBEDINECE? Impossible! LOVE is the combination of all goodness and best moral spiritual qualities ever known to humanity. There is no LOVE, there is no FAITH, there is no HOPE, there is no OBEDIENCE, and there is no GOD in such person!

Is it possible to have OBEDIENCE without FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE? Also impossible! OBEDIENCE to what? FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE, all come from the Commandments and Ordinances of the Lord. If a person disobeys Lord's Commandments and His Statutes, such person have no FAITH, no HOPE, and no LOVE, such person have no GOD.

I done my best so far to explain the matter and answer your question, sorry if it still unclear for you.

That I utterly failed to communicate the point that I hoped to make to you concerning your Opening Post.
[Hint: YOU are the Prophet in the joke and Jesus really does love His people.]
