Obese people at high risk of dying, it's why Louisiana deaths are up

France's chief epidemiologist: US will 'probably have the most problems' with coronavirus, partly due to obesity

CDC CONSIDERS LOOSENING GUIDELINES FOR SOME ALREADY EXPOSED TO THE VIRUS

Obesity-related conditions -- including heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer -- are some of the leading causes of “preventable, premature” death, according to the CDC.

Obesity has been cited by health officials as a possible explanation for higher-than-average death rates in cities such as New Orleans. In Louisiana, 65.8 percent of residents are overweight or obese, according to CDC figures.

Last week the CDC released a report showing that 78 percent of COVID-19 patients in the ICU had an underlying health condition, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease and chronic lung disease.

If your fat, overweight by a significant amount, and your older, your very likely to suffer complications regardless of the illness involved.

If people can slow down the calorie intake, yeah it is tough. People think of food as 'comfort food', they feel good about eating things that taste good and too much eating is bad for you. Food is an emotional support like a drug in a sense to make you feel better, but like any drug, too much is addictive and ultimately kills you quicker..

Now that IS shocking, had not heard that. I did hear that being on a ventilator was the wrong treatment for covid though. It is not like with pneumonia, the ventilator just blows up the lungs, when what is needed is oxygen infusion. 80% die when put on a ventilator. That said, all ventilators are not created equal, just like cars. I don’t like the 80% odds, either way.

Ventilators are overused for Covid-19 patients, doctors say - STAT

Now the real story about ventilators, ventilators, gotta have more ventilators begins to trickle out.

HUGE! MN Senator and Doctor: Hospitals Get Paid More to List Patients as COVID-19 and Three Times as Much if the Patient Goes on Ventilator (VIDEO)

And.........the real reason we need more ventilators is Medicare/Medicaid pays triple the money when a patient goes on a ventilator. Follow the money. Why are the medical professionals always downplaying the cheap treatment? They would rather get the money by admitting you & perhaps ventilating you, & then........when the palms have been greased........maybe try it then. The medical profession, hand in hand with big pharma, is first & foremost a business.

Intubation is a dangerous medical procedure for sure. Many times intubated patients, well they may recover, but tend to statistically have greater complications and shorter lifespans. Why that is maybe due to they are really very sick those who get intubated, and or the intubation damages their breathing capacity. It is noted for older patients who have been intubated, and recovered that have big problems afterwards. If you can avoid it, avoid it. I have worked in hospitals and seen the pitiful state of intubated patients and also how the nurses have to clear their air tubes, and it not pleasant for the patients, seen their bodies wrihe and jump on the beds. This one young black guy OD'd and was laying there in neurological step down unit, and wow the nurse seemed rough with him and his airways, ramming something down his airway, a suctioning tube to clear our the mucous. This guy was unconscious but clearly strongly reacting to the medical procedures being done on him.

They have to use special drugs to knock you out, otherwise you could not tolerate being intubated, it is that unpleasantly awful. Before my wifes dad died, he was intubated, and clearly in distress, he died of ARDS in ICU, and tried pulling out all his tubes. He did manage to pull out his catheter, tore things open and blood went everywhere. He had a living will that stated no artificial lifesupport or extraordinary measures. We convinced the doctor what they were doing with him in ICU was against his will, and finally after a week they disconnected him and he died after a couple days. Doctor told us his quality of life, if he survived would have been pretty awful. He had been refusing extraordinary treatment, but 2 nurses convinced him to go into the ICU because maybe he could live, and he acquiesced. And was dead in 7 days. But for those 7 days, I am sure he suffered a lot.

Because he listened to the nurses, the Hospital got an extra $100000 paid to them from TriCare for the week in ICU.

If were knocked out with drugs and on my back with a tube in my chest I would not be able to cough. Besides that, I have little doubt that my body would reject that tube being in my chest and the reaction would be that even more fluid would be added to the that which is drowning me. I think I would take my chances with just O2 supplemented and deep breathing techniques - preferably at home if I had the O2 concentrator where I could eat exactly what I wanted/could manage to eat and take whatever vitamins I wanted and sleep when I wanted to sleep. I would also prefer to have some closing with my loved ones rather than die alone...

Apparently a lot of people are choosing to die at home or are underestimating how much trouble they are in...in my case my stubbornness to not go to the hospital because of my distaste for that adventure might be looked upon as a mistake but my faith would be that I was in God's hands and in my body's natural ability to win the battle, or perhaps not, but I'd put up a good fight and I'd take peace in that it would be my way.

Nitric Oxide Investigated as COVID-19 Treatment

I saw on the news tonight where nitric oxide gas is being experimented with in combating covid lung infections.

Now, that being said, our favorite controversial talk show host, Alex Jones, had a guest on his show a few weeks back, who advocated daily doses of beet juice in order to boost nitric oxide levels in the body, to combat the corona virus. Let's chalk one up for INFOWARS.

The Truth About Beet Juice
