Sadly you would be surprised how many shallow Christians follow his teaching. It isn't preaching, not Biblical anyway. Some in my family watch him each Sunday instead of attending church. :praying:

He Will Preach This Message...

...Until the world around him :tonofbricks:

Without sounding like I have any ill-will toward Osteen, or that I am throwing sour grapes in his direction, let me candidly say: People like this are probably under the protection of the devil, because they never seem to have a real clue of what the normal person is going through.

The Joel Osteen's (and WOF followers) of this world will be crushed with the arrival of the tribulation. Maybe we'll see (if we end up going mid-trib) how they handle this and what kind of spiritual spin they concoct to explain the events and effects of the honest-to-goodness tribulation the Bible tells us is coming.

I don't wish anything bad to happen to him, his loved ones, or followers. I only think that his style of preaching "good times in Jesus" will be tested severely when the tribulation comes. Unfortunately, those who follow him, will probably be as devastated as him, and let without hope and faith. :tear:

Osteen and those he misleads will have the rug pulled out from underneath them, and it will be a sad awakening. For this reason, I hope we go through a mid-trib experience, because there will be a need for people of faith to step in and preach the truth with the hope of salvaging some of those who are going to be spiritually shipwrecked.

It is simply my opinion, but I think his preaching is demonic sent! Satan is pulling the "wool" over the eyes of many good people through the teachings of people like him. They are the spiritual victims, and their blood will be on his hands when it comes to judgment and accountability!

I agree.

Isaiah 30:10 makes it clear....

Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

If thats not Joel Osteen, I'd like to know what is?

It's not that unusual for a highly skilled entertainer to require a large venue for all of his fans to see the show.

According to James 1:22 anyone who is not a doer of the word is deluded. That includes making disciples. That is not to be relegated to someone else.

I don't watch Joel Osteen, but I have a friend that does and says that he make her feel good. We go to the same church and there is not much of "feeling good" at church. First of all, we have the loud, harsh contemporary music which is irritating to her and me for that matter. Second, we mostly hear a message on "why aren't you working harder for the Lord" almost every Sunday.

I suspect that my friend finds Joel Osteen refreshing, since there is llttle to be positive about in the service at our church. The music effect is negative for us; and the preaching could be more positive.

I have been told that Joel Osteen's music is very contemporary, but it is not on his TY program; so it doesn't bother her.

Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, Rick Warren....all cut from the same cloth, and all leading many people down the WRONG path.

You have to know about SIN and know you are LOST before you can be SAVED. Jesus is not a feel-good moment in time.

Sad....very sad.....

Almost nothing worse than being harshly put on a guilt trip in the form of....

"why aren't you working harder for the Lord"...you gotta do more....work harder...do more...work harder, etc etc."

I would flee that "concentration camp" church just as quickly as I would flee Joel Osteens "happy land feel good" church.
