Where did January go? Seems like it was just yesterday that it was New Years Day!

With the cold we've had - I'm glad to see January gone - but I think that the speed with which it left us - is symptomatic of "Old Age" - and this is the right place to be posting these thoughts!

Dan - getting older every day!

Did you plan on doing anything in particular in January then :confused:

Think us "old codgers" (and "codgerettes") that have seen a lot of life need the two things just mentioned - lots of SLEEP and lots of HUMOR to see us through the day!

And NOT think about Christmas. Grrr!

Posting is fun, a good diversion. My problem is I come by for "2 minutes" and stay for 20! :rolleyes:

I do have a serious side - and that is seen on the "Coffee House Chapel" and on occasion in some other threads.


BB is a good outlet for my warped sense of humor - it also takes the pressure off Jan - who sometimes tires of my nonsense - hard to believe after 33 years - that she wouldn't be used to it by now!

Amen, Dan! And if folks don't want the fun and frosting of the "fluff" posts, they don't have to read them!

I post mostly on the heavy Versions and Theology forum, so this is a great place to have fun!

We all have something so say and contribute, it is just that some people here are not "listeners" and make some of us feel inadequate when we try to express ourselves.

And Jim, speaking of number of posts, just noticed YOU were about to hit another posting milestone.

Us old codgers had better stick together or we'll fall apart. :cool:

Jim, I know YOU do, but listening is a gift which not everyone is either blessed with or chooses to use.
My comment was general, not directed at anyone in person.
The ability to listen is a very special blessing and if more people took time to listen instead of being in love with the sound of their own voice the world would be a happier place and psychiatrists would be a lot poorer.

With three women in the house, and six female dogs and the only male dog was neutered, I had little option but to listen.

The solution to most problems is found in the ear. It is not an accident that the brain is flanked by two ears and only one mouth.
