Yes, it did. Without question the KJV is the most Roman Catholic “Protestant” translation in common use today. That does not, however, in and of itself, mean that the KJV is inaccurate.

Ryan, NASB omitted any important doctrines because NASB disagrees with massive MSS. For example, massive manuscripts and MVs disagree each other in the Gospel of Mark more than 2,000 times. Also, NASB omitted the important names of Jesus Christ in the New Testament 210 times.

Should we worry? Or will we tremble at His Word (See Isaiah 66:5)?

Are you alluding to verses such as this one?

ESV Acts 4:30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

KJV Acts 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

NAS Acts 4:30 while Thou dost extend Thy hand to heal, and (1a)signs and wonders take place through the name of Thy holy (2b)servant Jesus."

    God bless,

For example, the phrase translated, "him that livith for ever and ever" (Rev. 5:14) and the words translated, "and he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him" (Acts 9:6) are not found in ANY known Greek manuscript and are translated from the Latin Vulgate and appear in both the KJV and the Roman Catholic Douay-Rheims Version.

Rev 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. (KJV)

Rev 5:14 And the four living creatures said: Amen. And the four and twenty ancients fell down on their faces and adored him that liveth for ever and ever. (Douay-Rheims)

Rev 5:14 And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped. (ASV)

Rev 5:14. And the four living creatures kept saying, "Amen." And the elders fell down and worshiped. (NASB, 1995)

Act 9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Act 9:7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. (KJV)

Act 9:6 And he, trembling and astonished, said: Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?
Act 9:7 And the Lord said to him: Arise and go into the city; and there it shall be told thee what thou must do. Now the men who went in company with him stood amazed, hearing indeed a voice but seeing no man. (Douay-Rheims)

Act 9:6 but rise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Act 9:7 And the men that journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing the voice, but beholding no man. (ASV)

Act 9:6. but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do."
Act 9:7. The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. (NASB, 1995)

Whatever happened to the Christian teaching that we should tell the truth?

It is inaccurate to group all mv's together
as if they were all exactly alike or all translated from the exact same underlying texts.
There are several present-day English translations that are based on the same underlying Hebrew and Greek texts as the KJV
such as the NKJV, the Literal Translation by Jay Green, the 1990 Modern KJV, the 1994 21st Century KJV, the 1998 Third Millennium Bible, the 2000 King James 2000 Version.

The KJV is a revision of earlier English Bibles [Tyndale's to Bishops']. There are the same-type differences between the these earlier English Bibles and the KJV as can be found between the KJV and some present-day English translations. For example, the KJV does not have three whole verses that are found at one Psalm in the 1535 Coverdale's Bible and the 1539 Great Bible. The KJV has two additional verses (Mark 11:26 and Luke 17:36) that was not found in the 1534 Tyndale's, the 1535 Coverdale's, and 1537 Matthew's Bibles and in Luther's German Bible.

When KJV-only advocates are willing to deal with and discuss the many changes and differences between the KJV and the earlier English Bibles of which it was a revision, perhaps there would be more willingness to discuss the differences between the KJV and present-day English Bibles.

These sources that I have with me, are very informative.
The 1526 New Testament disagrees with ESV and NAS. Explain this controversy if you can.

Come on, Askjo, we've been through this. Give us some examples of the ommissions (and make sure they aren't ones that were probably copied to make gospel match another gospel where the text already exists.)

By the way, DOCTRINAL changes please, and remember, I'm going to hold you to the meaning of context of the entire chapter and possibly book. Where specifically are all these doctrinal changes?
