One cop dead, four more shot in Colorado .....

I am really FED up with the cop haters on this board. I'd love to know where they think today's gun fight at a Planned Parenthood Clinic in Colorado would be if it were not for the cops, our nation's first responders?

It is disgusting that anarchist (taking their clues from a very misguided POTUS) take to the streets every time a rouge cop makes the new for shooting a black person. I'd like an ADULT answer to this question: If bad cop makes ALL cops bad .... does that mean one bad black man makes ALL blacks THUGS?

It is time that the black communities stop with the oppressed, victimized negro routine. Those days are long gone. We are all Americans. We all bleed red blood when we are cut. We all feel the pain when someone is senselessly gunned down. And we ALL want justice when any human, of any ethnic background is wronged. If it were not for the five cops wounded and killed today in Colorado, how many more innocent folks would be dead tonight. I am thankful for our dedicated men and women in blue. And it is time that the radical fringe start feeling the same.

This is very nicely said. I couldn't agree more! There are always going to be bad cops but that doesn't make them all bad. As there are always going to be bad people in every race. You can't paint them all with one brush. The police are there to protect us. They put their lives in danger every time they go to work. It is sad that there are so many cop haters. Much like Donald Trump, some of you seem to think that speaking your mad minds makes it the equivalent of the truth.

And as has been said before, if there are so many GOOD cops, then they need to start taking more action against the bad cops. Problem is that's not being seen because a lot of cops know that you don't "snitch" on other cops if you're planning on having other cops watch your back when you're in the field.

And it's sad to know that good cops who are already putting their lives at risk run the risk of being killed if they go against a bad cop. Not saying this is absolute. But it does happen.

Nothing but words. People look at actions. And there is a systemic pattern of police and judicial "understanding" that often times bypasses due process and justice. So save the lies because sane people aren't buying it.

And if it were not for corrupt policing and lack of adjudication by prosecutors who work hand in hand with police systems, then these people wouldn't be dead with their murderers running free just because they carry a badge.

As I've said many times before, I'm thankful when they do their jobs without prejudice. Seeing very little of that because there seems to be a proliferation of bad behavior coming to the forefront that has been "accepted" practice. If not for video, a lot of it would still be going unchecked and the word of the corrupt officers being taken over the family members of people in the communities in which these people are killed or mistreated by the police.

So get over yourself. You can't keep hanging people from trees and think that their friends, families and neighbors are gonna pat you on the back for hanging folks they know from trees.

Once you get past all the foolish ranting of Zaac, there is one interesting point worthy of discussion.

There is a problem when police officers cover up or turn a blind eye to bad behavior of their peers. If the culture of police officers changed such that bad cops were routinely turned in and ferreted out, it would be a benefit for our society. Unfortunately police officers commonly protect "their own" and, yes, this does mean that "good" cops aren't quite so good.

This same culture of protecting the bad elements exists in the black community as well and it could also benefit from routinely outing those committing crimes, rather than protecting them.
