Oneness Vs. Trinity Debate

Lorelie, I never interpreted it. All that happened was “Someone showed me something one day IN THE WORD OF GOD. I then prayed about it. And then God confirmed it. I did not have to do the interpreting, God did the interpreting for me.

Where do you see in the word of God that God does not confirm his word? Please show me, b/c I am going to come back and bust about a dozen scriptures out and take you back to Sunday School so you can get a FULL COURSE MEAL. Its obvious that you have been deprived.
Funny, the Holy Spirit tells me you dead wrong and that all your fasting, praying, and speaking tongues is only a fulfillment of self glory and not to the glory of God. So why don't we stick to the written revealed word of God instead of relying on your interpretation which may possibly be based on a gas attack brought on by bad dietary habits.

Brian! Do you believe that Jesus is coming again? Does the expectation of His soon return bring you joy? Do you live everyday as if "today's the day"? Are you anxiously waiting?

One of the signs of His return is that false teachers will rise up & deceive many. Doesn't it strike you as odd that so many in my parish(county) would claim to speak-in-tongues?

God don't play a "cat & mouse" game with the souls of people...He does not hide the way of salvation where only a few could possibly find it.

..Now that everyone has had some fun, I'd like to ask a question!

When Trinitarians pray, do you sometimes pray to God, as well as to Jesus? Or, do you sometimes pray to the Holy Spirit? If so, don't you worry that one may be envious of the other.

I'm still trying to figure out the Trinity, as in three persons. Really I am!

..Granny, better think again! No, God doesn't hide the plan of salvation....some just refuse to hear it. ;)

Matt. 7:13-14)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and "FEW" there be that find it.

We pray to the Father through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit moves us to pray, to our Father, who hears our prayer thru his son, Jesus Christ.

Who's been having fun? Maybe ol'Brian! I've been as serious as a heart attack...

God will not force anyone to be saved. He does not require you to speak-in-tongues as a sign of the Holy Ghost. When Nicodemus was seeking the Lord, he wasn't told, "Son, you must speak in tongues, because after all, that's what Jesus did."

There is only one way to come to Jesus and be saved. ONLY ONE! (And it is not by speaking-in-tongues)!

Those who will not humble themselves do not see their need for salvation. Repentance requires an "about face". I remember so well when Jesus first sought me and I placed all my faith in Him. I didn't speak-in-tongues then, nor have I ever. You gonna tell me I don't have the Holy Ghost?

When Jesus talked to the Samaritan woman, he didn't tell her she had to go & speak-in-tongues. One cannot worship the One True God while adhering to false doctrine. You "onenesses" have been duped!

Granny Do i believe Jesus is comeing again? Of course I do. Do i think its going to be today? No, not at all. Do I want him to come? You bettcha, cant wait to hang out with him. Does it bring me joy? Why woulden't it? Do I live everyday as if today is the day? What do you mean by this? Am I anxiously waiting? Doen't the bible say to be anxious for nothing? HAHA, sometimes I am, and Sometimes I am not. I really want to see my parents living for God.

Granny please dont take this the wrong way. I refuse to discuss the topic of tongues with you. You do not want to hear what we have to say. God has spoken to us through his word and he has confirmed his word.

I am not going to argue with you but this is not a tongues thread. But if you are intrested I will gladly assit you in your wants on a diffrent thread.

Granny if someone continues to harden their heart to what God is trying to offer them, God does let us know in his word he has other options for people like that.

MEE was right, Jesus said that strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and "FEW" there be that find it.

Jesus was right, few there be that find it. So what does that mean? The ones who know the truth need to be out there showing everyone they possibly can.

The bible says "Call upon the Name of the Lord and thou shalt be saved".

Before I was ever a Christian, I knew I was not right with God. And I can tell you what it was like the very day that I called on the Name of Jesus.

A guy was wanting to fight me, and I was scared. I was at work sitting on the back patio looking up at the stars and Prayed that Jesus would help me in my situation, and also help me in my persuit to find you.

I called on the Name of the Lord that night and a couple years latter, After many days of someking pot wondering what would happen to me if I were to die. God sent to guys over to my best friends house to teach them a bible study. I was no even planned to be there. But i just left, rode up the street to taco bell, came back, and my best friends Uncle and the Youth Pastor to the Church I attend now was there getting ready to teach my best friend and his friend a one hour bible study and asked me if I would like to sit in on it. I said sure only if you allow me to eat my tacos.

So I sat there for about 3 hours discusing the word of God with them. I wanted what they had so bad I could hardly contain my self.

So after they left my buddies and me went out to my truck and said "Lets get our lives together" WE all agreed emptied out all of our tobacco etc. put the tail gate down and made an alter and prayed to God that he would save us.

To make a really long story short, God knew my heart and he knows yours, God will not let you settle for anything you dont want to settle for. I was not happy settleing for the watered down relegions around here. I wanted the truth. I wanted wanted what it took.

And God showed me that night. Now it was up to me what I would do with that truth. It took me a while but by the Grace of God I started going to church and kept going, and kept going, and I am still going.

So you see, I did call upon the Name of the Lord, and he did save me.

I said all that to say this. What I was shown I did not find on my own. Someone had to show it to me. And God holds us accountable for that which we hear. And the night I heard that I was held accountable. And later on I fulfilled the New Birth Experience.

GOd bless

Go ahead and relax, dont get comfortable but relax, You got until Jesus comes back.

God will not force anyone to be saved. He does not require you to speak-in-tongues as a sign of the Holy Ghost. When Nicodemus was seeking the Lord, he wasn't told, "Son, you must speak in tongues, because after all, that's what Jesus did."
Granny your right, God will not force anyone to be saved. I totally agree with you. He does not require us to speak in tongues, but he does require us to have his spirit living inside of us. No Ol, Nick was not told you must speak in tongues but what he was told that you must be born of the Water and The Spirit.

And He told us that when we are born of the Spirit it will be like the wind. You cant see it, you dont know when its going to come and when its going to leave but when it does come you will hear the sound.

There is only one way to come to Jesus and be saved. ONLY ONE! (And it is not by speaking-in-tongues)!
Granny Speaking in tongues does not save anyone. Please quit thinking like that. Jesus does the saving. We are saved b/c he died for us.

1) Jesus did not tell Nicodemus that he would hear a sound when the Holy Spirit came upon him.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Jesus was speaking of being born again. He wasn't comparing the sound of the wind to the sound of the Holy Spirit or speaking in tongues. He was saying that the Spirit comes up on us; we don't know where it came from (other than from God), or where it goes; but we know its effects (its "sound").

2) We are saved because Christ died for us.
Granny Speaking in tongues does not save anyone. Please quit thinking like that. Jesus does the saving. We are saved b/c he died for us.
If you truly believe this, then why do you question the salvation of those that don't speak in tongues?
