    Good call DeeJay!

You know, I actually had to go back and find to what you were referring because I thought nothing of Tim's intentions.

The fact of the matter is that we all (if I may be so bold to lump all us humans into a single lump here) -- we all have said things that we would have snatched back if we could. We all have said things that we didn't even realize until later that someone took one way when we, even after considering a variety of possibilities, hadn't even considered that one.

I'm not a Biden fan. I can't imagine a situation when I would vote for him. But I do remember a situatation when a phrase my dad used to use innocently escaped my lips as a young mom, and I didn't give it a second thought. Bar-b-qued was what I felt like when my "friend" finished with me. So I'm willing to cut Biden (and the good folks on this thread) a bit of slack here.

You know I had to think twice about what your were talking about.
I meant no, absolutely no hint of racism in my statement.

I am so unracist that I forgot that that is not a proper word when talking about race.

    Sorry if some are offended.

Maybe you now know how Joe Biden feels.

I don't think that either you or Joe Biden are racists, in spite of the fact that many right-wingers would love for it to be so, at least in Biden's case.

We all should know that, tinytim, based on your posting history. :flower:

    Tiny Tim,

I took absolutely no offense to what you said. As far as this thread is concerned I have only taken issue with those posters who see fit to make broad characterizations of black Americans. It is one thing to talk about Biden's comments, it is completely different to claim "most liberal blacks are not articulate or well spoken".

I was wondering if you were playing with words there. I didn't figure you were actually being racist.

I thought it was kinda funny. Sometimes, my humor is a tad dry. Sorry. But on the other hand, if it puts the Biden statement into perspective, then it was a good thing.
