Let me explain something to all those defending RW. The OP was about what was aired on Oprah's show. Not what was left on the editing room floor or what may have been shared behind the cameras. It wasn't like seeing John MacArthur defending Christianity on Larry King, it was Rick being very accomodating to Oprah and her audience and that is the problem.
Oprah is well known in Christian apologetics as being a universalist who invites all kinds of false teachers on her show. Rick Warren seems to appear as just another one of these guests on her show. As America's pastor IMO he has a responsibility to confront her on her false views (in love) and win her and her audience to Christ. Instead he teaches all this PD stuff that is self esteem disguised as orthodox Christianity.
But what might have been said and left on the editing room floor might be vitally important. I gave specific information when I was interviewed and then got in trouble for not giving that information because the news station chose not to show that portion of what I said. Fortunately, I was able to get the original tape and show them that I DID speak of it and it was not my fault that they chose to not report what I said. It happens.
