OT Scripture that points to Christ

My brother in law is jewish, and an apologetic at that. He made a comment yesterday that Christ was nothing more than a man who had a dozen followers. I have read that there are more than 300 OT prophecies that Christ fulfilled, but am having a hard time finding them all. Would anyone have any links to this?

Also, would anyone have any links to historical documents written by non Christians about Christ's death, burial and resurrection? Thanks.

Well Christ Himself said that Moses (first five books) and all the prophets spoke of Him. Basically you can see Christ in all OT history. This is what He showed the two disciples on the Emaus road. And He will show it to Israel again after the tribulation and their eyes will be opened.

I don't have this, but there is a book called Christ in Isaiah by F.B. Meyer that you might want to pick up.

Web - the first prophecy of the Messiah is in Genesis 3:15. Also look at Micah 5 and Isaiah 53 (the entire chapter) is also another great text. If your brother-in-law is a well-versed Jew, he will no doubt misinterpret Isaiah 53 as referring to the nation of Israel. Little matter. It is about the Messiah...Jesus Christ.

webdog,

Check out Matthew. Over and over he points to events in Christ's life and how they were fulfillments of OT promises. Matthew was a Jew writing to his kinsmen, so his gospel is an excellent resource to use for this purpose.

OT Scripture that point to Christ.
All of them.
But those who have not the Spirit of Christ cannot see that.
As for the Jews, I don't know how they can explain Isaiah 53, Psalm 22 and Daniel's prophecy that Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled right down to the last detail; But, those that are blinded to the truth of the gospel will have some sort of answer.

I preached an Easter series from Leviticus Chapters 1-3!

Chapter 1--The Burnt Offering---a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ

Chapter 2--The Meal Offering---that flour, oil, salt, and Frankinsence baked in a pan---a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ

Chapter 3--The Peace Offering--A picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. Micah 5:5 declares---This man shall be the peace

Those Jews would participate in those offerings by faith with anticipation in their hearts

"When Messiah comes--this is what He'll be!"

"When Messiah comes--this is what He'll say!"

"When Messiah comes--this is what He'll do!"

There is also a video that Jews for Jesus puts out that relates the picture of Christ in the Jewish passover celebration.

Here are a few more:

And you might want to ask your brother in law why there are far more than a dozen leaders now, and why did many of Jesus' followers die rather than recant over their belief in Him if they didn't see Him after his crucifixion?

You might want to order a copy of The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel.

Here is case study for and against thr resurrection. You can draw an offense and defense from this:

And be prayed up before you see him.

I want to thank everyone for the links. This gives me a lot of "ammo". Pray that God uses me to reveal the truth to him about Christ.
