Other's Spirituality

Like the old saying, "When we point a finger, we have three fingers coming back to ourselves, and a thumb pointing to God."

I judged a man once who came late to church, left early and seldom mixe with the people. I visited his home and learned that he was a prayer warrior. He had prayer notes pinned to ever chair in his house where he kneeled to pray. I learned that he had a hearing problem and this back seat was best for him in church. He did not mix because his hearing problem created a speech problem and he was ashamed to behave publicly.

My judgement changed instantly and I learned a great lesson to last a lifetime.

Cheers,

Jim

You realize, don't you...

... that we all have spiritual gifts and that some are not appreciated as much as others. The one who prophesies the word in season and out (when it is convenient and smooth and when it is not) is often seen as a "kook" rather than spiritual).

Often the people we see as spiritual are those who have a gift that we wish we had, too.

I believe that "spiritual people" is bahave on a plane that cannot be explained -- may even be belied -- by the world around them. That said, their behavior may be good or bad depending on the "spirit" that "guides" them.
