Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Is eternal life a hope or a know? I believe it is both.

1Pe 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Here hope is linked with faith. A joyful expectation of which we are certain.

Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Hope which is steadfast and sure.

Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Here eternal life is said to be something for which we should hope.

Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Same again.

1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Here we find the "hope of salvation." I said in an earlier post "hope of heaven."

Please forgive me if I am being incredibly dense here and completely missing the point. But where is my definition of hope wrong?

Are you refusing to wear your helmet?
