The thread quoted an article from a legitimate news source. Why should that not be allowed? We allowed threads about Obama being born in Kenya and wanting to impose Sharia law on January 20th.

Well Obama has told us time and again what he intends to do. Given his remarks to the Sodom by the Sea elites during the primary campaign he may first go after guns and the Bible!

This thread is not abour Sen Obama - there are plenty of threads to discuss him.

Did you allow threads claiming Obama incited to riot or murder?:BangHead:

Since, according to your opinion, others have made wild claims against President Obama (and I agree they have) that makes it ok for LeBuick to make his own. And, this latest claim is one of the wildest to say the least.

The first article cited said that it was the US Secret Service that said that death threats against Obama spiked after Palin's tirades. Are you saying the Secret Service is another Marxist tool of your imagination?

That article is nothing more than a biased pile of ---- well you fill in the blank!!! The threats may have spiked but it in no way is indicative of Palin's purposefully inciting death threats. Another false accusation against those that have an opposing view regarding Obama's policies. Get a life BB and go wash those bloody hands. :praying:

No he isn't.

I wish I could say that the Obamites are like the blind leading the blind; however, I believe that the leadership in the democrat party is consciously Marxist.:BangHead: Unfortunately the majority of those voting could care less. :BangHead:

So you say you know more about assassination threats than the Secret service? Interesting.

Actually the article was so poorly written it is difficult to separate what was said by the Secret Service from editorialization on the part of the writer of the article.

The single sentence which you are relying upon merely says that the Secret Service told Obama about threats on his life. The other half of the sentence which says "coinciding" with Palin's speeches may be the writer's opinion.

Also "coinciding" means "co-incidence" which is not a "link" but a matter of temporal proximity but not necessarily a matter of cause and effect.

Your cited article is nothing more than an opinion piece as are most subjects of discussion in this forum.

IMO a large problem in political discussion is the inability on the part of many to discern between opinion and fact while actively seeking the sensational.

Some are more guilty than others.

This is a very poor response. You might as well go ahead and cuss, since that is the intent of the ----. You might deny it, but you know I am right. Regardless of what BB says, this is not a good Christian testimony.

I do agree that any death threats against President-elect Obama have nothing to do with Palin. She has a right to speak her mind, and she is not responsible for what someone else might say or do, especially since most or her criticism is grounded in truth.

I would think that any increased death threats might be because of Obama's popularity, and that he won the election.

I understand the strong feelings Obama's victory stimulates from the opposition. As I've said before, I voted against Obama although I agree with some of the things he proposes to do. I just cannot vote for someone who has the abortion and pro-homosexual record he has. Since he was elected, I hope and pray that he ends up being a better president than many doubt. I will however, stand strongly against abortion and gay rights!

You mean like when posted totally false and unsubstanciated claims that John McCain was responsible for the fire on the USS Forrestal? Or how about when you bore false witness against your conservative brothers and sisters in Christ basically claiming that they hate the lost so much so that they refuse to invite them to church? Would you now like retract those statements?

I don't recall saying this exactly, if I recall, what I posted is that some Church's which are represented here don't ALLOW sinners in their Church's. Meaning they want you to repent and be Holly before you can come to the Church instead of letting you came AS you are and let God change you.

I believe my statement was based on the thread with hom@sexual singer who came out the closet. There are some who said he should be kicked out the Church and WOULD be kicked out if he attended their Church.

If this doesn't apply to you then I didn't mean you but I don't apologize and stand by what I said.
