Many people read this verse and automatically label this as, 'Women are not to wear pants', when that is not what the scripture was speaking of. This command was given to women for the express purpose of forbidding women to put on battle armor and to go into the battlefield, and to men not to take the role of women and stay home from the battle.

If one is going to harp on women wearing pants, one must be consistant. Why are the men who harp about women wearing pants not wearing skirts themselves? Men in Bible times wore skirts.

Do you wear clothing of two different materials? That is forbidden.

He that is guilty of one point of the law is guilty of all.

Slacks that are made for women are women's clothing. It is evident that they were made for women and would not fit a man (unless he was a transvestite). Even then, when one looks carefully, one can tell that the clothing does not fit a man as it does a woman.

As far as tight-fitting jeans, on a man or woman, I do not think they are appropriate for church, work, school, home, or anywhere. We are not to dress in such a way that will cause one to lust after us or stumble. Modest, loose fitting ( and not hanging to knees loose) clothing is best.
