    Scarlett,
I wasn't calling any of the men on the BB pigs.
The only thing I hate is when Women are thought of as "second-class" citizens.
My parents(God rest their Soul) taught me to always respect Women, whether it be in my thoughts, or my actions.
All I was trying to say is the MCP attitude toward Women is still out there, and it is wrong.

I was not calling anybody a MCP in my post, I would never do that. We are all brothers and sisters and I respect all of you too much to make a harsh, stupid remark.
If you were offended by my post, I apologize.
I did not mean to offend anybody.

    Rob

    Silliness knows no bounds...

Some are so concerned what is worn when women are on the church campus and attempt to ascribe a measure of holiness to a particular standard. Meanwhile, nearly 60% of all male church members have an ongoing struggle with online pornography.

    HMMMM...

Now we're getting somewhere. But since the culture of the time pretty much determined what Paul called "modest," who defines it for us, and how? It's pretty clear that pants are not the issue. And its pretty clear that dressing modestly applies to both men and women.

Last week, at a high school football game between two Christian schools, a man seated behind me remarked that he thought the outfits worn by the dance team girls from the opposing school were a bit skimpy. To me, it looked like they were cut to allow the girls, who were doing a lot of high kicking, back flipping, double and triple mounts, freedom of movement. I didn't think they were immodest. My wife, however, thought they were. What decides?

I never worry about mowing my yard, because I have four boys in the house, three of them teenagers. My 16 year old brother-in-law mowed the grass this morning in a pair of jeans and a tank top. Modest? I'd think so.

I've heard arguments between my 17 year old brother's girlfriend and her mother over things like cap sleeves and the tightness of pants and shirts. I think her appearance is very modest and appropriate, but sometimes her mother doesn't think so. And this girl is very conscientious about her appearance being consistent with her faith. So who decides?

You guys are too funny! I'll bring the sauce, if you roast the pig. AND I'm not talking that icky thin stuff they serve frequently in NC, but robust, hearty red dippin sauce fit for the king of the roasted pigs!

    deacon jd,

You have made some assumptions about my friend Scarlett based on precious little IMHO.

I usually wear skirts, but I like to know I can wear pants if I wanna. AND usually when it gets cold, I wanna. And if we have an ice day and I get to stay home in the middle of the week, I even have a few pairs of tacky sweat pants I might pull on.

I made the suggestion to my wife, "Hey, maybe you could call me Lord."

She said, "Let me try it out...Lord, help me not kill him. How's that?"

Only 3 more days of cleaning, and my punishment is over. :tongue3:
