Partial Rapture

This issue seems to be growing in the last 10 years. I understand that some do not believe in the rapture and other do not believe it is be pre-trib, but for those who do is there any possible support of a Partial Rapture or is there absolute evidence this is just another false teaching?

But I thought there was one rapture on May 21st and then the 5 month judgment with the world ending on October 21st?? ;)

Why would Christ only take part of His bride? Doesn't make sense to me.

One "rapture" of the Saints then another of Death, Hell and the Grave.

Revelation 20:6-8 & 11-15
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea...........
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This view not dealing with the timing of the rapture, but rather the nature of the rapture...​

What it does is split the church into two groups depending on how good, holy you live. They contend that the rapture is to complete the marriage of the lamb and not all the church has unspotted garments so those who go in the rapture are the bride and those who remain are the church.

The Partial Rapture is the belief that all of the Church is saved but most of the Church has corrupted itself and soiled its wedding garment. By endulging in "the things of this world, and the lusts thereof", the largest majority has unknowingly excluded itself from the Rapture, whereas the small membership of "The Bride of Christ" (that is encased inside the Church) has kept itself chaste.

Hebrews 3:6
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, "if" we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope (The Blessed Hope) firm unto the end.

Hebrews 3:12-14
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers (partners, The Bride) of Christ, "if" we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Please explain. Part of the saved are going in the rapture and part will remain here through the Tribulation, correct? Why and by what scriptures?

FTR, I am "amil", but this would be more inline with the pretrib rapture, if you ask me. Why? According to what little I know about this subject(pre, mid, and post trib rapture), when the church is raptured out, the Holy Ghost leaves, too. In the Left Behind series by Tim Lahaye(I watched a couple of them in disbelief), somehow, people are still being saved AFTER the church and Holy Ghost are GONE!! So, eventhough I don't agree with any of the three raptures(being strictly amil), this will make more sense than any other scenario I have seen as of today.

Luke 21:34-36
34 And take heed to yourselves (Warning), lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares (Like a thief). 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

2 Corinthians 11: 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, "that" I "may" present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The church is engaged to Christ. With that comes the responsibility to keep herself untarnished and undefiled (as was Israel’s downfall, and the reason she was divorced by Jehovah.) Keeping ourselves in fellowship with our BrideGroom, which provokes a continual spirit of anticipation for his arrival in our hearts (what we are instructed by the scripture to do repeatedly) are the requirements for being included in the gathering.

All believers are saints, but not all believers are faithful.

The warning in those passages are warnings to get saved. You cannot make yourself worthy through your own deeds. We have to be made worthy by the work of Christ.

We are saved only by the work of Christ. And no one is worthy of salvation or anything else. We are "accounted worthy" by God through our obedience to his commands.

Luke 21:36
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be "accounted worthy" to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The passages in Revelation are to the Church (as are the rest). The sin mentioned to Thyatira that it is guilty of is adultery. An individual can not commit the sin of adultery against anyone other than their spouse. In this case, it is the church who is engaged to Christ.

Revelation 2:22
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The last phrase, "except you repent of your deeds" defines the fact it is not salvation that is the issue. Salvation can only be attained by turning from one's unbelief in Jesus as The Son of God, Christ and Lord.

No one can make themselves "good enough" for salvation. Repentance from "deeds" can only be done by a believer who God is calling back into proper fellowship. That is the major theme to the seven letters to the Churches. Repent and come back. One has to be a part of something and stray from it, before one can return.
