One of the charismatic pastors I wrote is open to being wrong on his view of the Trinity. He is humble and appreciated my letter and tracts. I had confronted him as being a servant and tool of satan, but I also gave him grace and sent him my John Piper tract the Quest for Joy. He wants to sit down and learn so praise the Lord. He is KJVO so I will bring my KJVO to this meeting. He is of a cult group but deceived....

Jordan if you are reading this have you done anything like this before? I will not debate the KJVO issues as his bigger problems are his denial of a essential of the faith.

Just curious, are you open to reason from him?

Can you be more specific
1) what denomination of Pentecostal is he
2) How is he wrong on the Trinity.

and - how do you know he won't out-debate you.

1st John 5:7

Acts 20:28

Also ask him who the us is in Genesis 1:26. Eloheem is plural in a singular form.

Also point him to

Exo_3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you

then oh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Joh 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Joh 8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Joh 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Joh 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Joh 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

By saying that he wants to "sit down and learn", do you think that he wants to discover the "Truth" or that he is curious about your opinions in much the way that a Christian is curious about a Muslim's thoughts on religion?

Aye, that be the proper question.

Seven unanswered questions. Honest, legitimate questions. Folks, I don't think Evan6589 wants a dialogue, he just wants to post things so he can see what see he writes online. It's a shame because I'm pretty sure everyone asking wants to help him out.

Be careful in meeting him, some of the Pentecostals I know have a fast mean "superman" punch. He may be like them. I know I would if you sent me a letter and told me I was a tool of Satan then agreed to a meeting.:love2:

So you are refusing to answer the aforementioned questions?

Wish I could be a fly on the wall at that meeting!
Something tells me we wont hear the whole story.

Can you answer this one questioned - when is the meeting?
