Well, seeing as how I don't have to preach tomorow, I think I'll surf the site a bit...

Oh, but I DO have some work to do. My wife and I are getting ready to leave for dinner and fellowship with folks from the Community Group we lead. After dinner, we will have an intensive time of prayer and counseling for another member who has MPD (multiple personality disorder) as a result of ritualistic satanic abuse. She was raped 2 weeks ago, and later, in a phone conversation with her father (who also has MPD and is a satanist, largely responsible for her upbringing) he set forth but another implanted command, which triggered another personality (we thought that she was cured). That will likely take us past midnight, and then we sleep fast, for church is at 9 am, and we have children's duty during the second service, which means that we'll be at church from 9 am until past 1 pm.

Maybe those "personalities" are actually demons? You definitely need some intensive prayer. Blessings to you.

(BTW, I guess that would be considered "work" so I'll let you off the hook.)

Ever thought that this is an extension of a pastor's ministry?

I have been ministered to on here as well as ministered to others.

I count being on here as part of my ministry. I learn, discuss, minister, etc.
No different than the real world.

YOu may say, "well you're not ministering to the members of your church.".. Yeah, so?

As a pastor are we only to minister to those within the walls of the church?
Of course not!

And any church that expects it's pastor to only minister to it's flock is a church that is dying.

If I was walking down the street and engaged someone (from another city) in conversation, and in that conversation answered a theological question that ministered to that person.. am I failing in my duties of a pastor? NO of course not..

So whats the difference in that and being here doing God's work?

Unlike the arrogant who only come here to correct the inept, I come here to learn, to grow, and it's fun. Sometimes I have been corrected in my thinking. I have been challenged. And, I have challenged the beliefs of others.

Oh yeah, I guess I better quit goofing off on the Baptist Board and head on over to the church to perform my two hours of Sunday work.

Tim, I wasn't describing you. The main point of the op was what sag touched on (the arrogant). I was addressing those who are one here endlessly attacking, provoking, trolling and acting the polar opposite of how a pastor should be conducting themselves.

I didn't view it as an attack.. I just thought I could answer your question... as for the reason "I" come here when I can..

OH, I forgot another reason.. sermon illustrations!!!!! ROFL!

And actually before I started Seminary, this place was a place for me, a scholar at heart, to learn, and grow, and interact with others..

OH, and BB has kept me informed of the various heresies that have invaded churches in the last few yrs... I remember at a local pastor's meeting discussing "ME".. remember that heresy many of us fought against here on BB? One of the pastors was dealing with an issue in our meeting that sounded very much like what I had learned about "ME" through our BB debaters..

Webdog, I understand your OP.. and I'll admit I have wondered about that very thing about myself. But then when an issue comes up in my local church, that I am able to help and handle, all because of a discussion here on BB.. I realize that God predestined me to be here on BB.. to learn! ROFL!!!!!

No, I borrowed one from the files the old pastor left behind. Why waste time developing a new one when he left all these ready made ones. (I Wish)

Yes, and yes...

Demoniacally-driven occultist practice, with intentionally planted personalities (32 so far). The girl was intentionally adopted into a ritualistic family for the express purpose of creating a slave. Hopefully, with God's grace, I will produce a book detailing her life. It is far more intricate than the story of Sybil from a few years back.

Also very interesting when personalities flip back and forth. We work in the power of Jesus -- the Jesus of the Bible, who alone has the power over life and death -- to deal with these issues, and in some cases, we also revert to the OT gospel, with the Hebrew names for God and Christ in order to defeat implanted programming.

One of the more insidious tactics is to get small children to cry out for Jesus to come and help them, then when they do, a false "Jesus" comes and adds to their torture, humiliation, rape, etc., all the while implanting false facts about the Bible and Christ. Later, when they attempt to see help (most do!) they turn to every sort of thing except the true source of help because their minds have been so tormented by false Christs that they would never understand the real Christ.

This is stuff for another thread, or PM, as I don't want to broadcast a lot of details on a public forum, but it is a very real situation with very real victims.

"Scolding" preachers for posting on the BB doesn't equate to holding them to a higher standard. I see it as unecessary, judgmental, ingracious, and as defamation of Gods men.

It's also not obeying the call to count those who study and labor in the word to receive honor. No, double-honor. 1 Timothy 5:17.

Bro. P4T,

Maybe I should have worded this better. Sorry about that, What I mean, is that Pastors/preachers need to be held to higher standards than the average laymember(not that the laymembers are any less importatnt, BTW), but the Pastors/preachers have had a call placed in their life, that the rest of the laymembers do not. So, Pastors/preachers are the ones whose "knowledge" is on display most every church meeting. I hope this clears that up.

I would like to know more about this subject....will you start a different thread for this....also, are there any web sites that cover this that you know of....do you believe this can happen to a saved person? This sounds similar to what a friends son has been through and is experiencing.
