Really? I only know 7 Democrats at my church. Then again, I don't normally talk politics at church very much so there's probably more that I don't know about. How many people like me have you met? I'm seriously interested.
Well, considering your church has 28,000 members it would be hard for you to know the political leanings of all of them, but when I earlier spoke of "liberally minded" I meant liberal christianity...not politics.
How many people like you have I met? I haven't kept an exact count. Let's just call it "a lot". For clarity, I'd have to describe the people. Maybe you don't fit in to the group. The people are younger people that feel like they owe the "less privileged" something, whether it is out of guilt or something else I don't know. They go to church and enjoy the music and the "experience". They know the correct words to say about salvation, but don't seem to think that items like abortion, homosexuality, drunkenness, and other blatant sin are something to get too worked up about. The believe that all us "christians" (catholics, methodists, presbyterians, church of christ, etc) should all just get along and work together "for the common good". Those are the people I've met plenty of and plenty of them go to First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
