The main fault I have seen in Pastoral Search Committees is that they become preoccupied with telling God about the kind of man they want instead of asking God about the kind of man He wants. They often end up getting the man they want and not getting the man God's wants.

If God has called you to Pastor and if you can't find a church that wants you, start one some where in the thousands of cities in the U.S.A that need a "lighthouse" to the glory of God.

When I am gone due to work I attend a church that was started by the pastor when he was 55. It is a dynamic growing church. The pastor is a very godly man. I would never count the years of your experience out. Any age is good if your health is good and you can serve. I will be 55 this year and play about two hours of tennis about five days a week. I am in much better health than most people many years younger than me.

Years ago when I was a college student the man who discipled a lot of students was 55 before he discipled anyone. He died at the age of 76 and was discipling students at the time. He also worked full time as a carpenter until two weeks before he died. He also taught me carpenter work and got me started in business.

I was a physical fitness devotee for 35 years, then phlebitus and an unrelated hernia ended my running days, and I've picked up a few pounds, but I am trying to climb back up to where I was.
