You know, I started a thread not too long ago about this very topic. Why won't the SBC take him off tv...at least their network?

</font>
I remember that thread, and I remember emailing them about it. Of course, no action taken.

Hmmmmmm. Why doesn't God talk to me every day like He does with Pat Robertson? ;)

Joseph,
Pat Robertson ran for President in 1988. (that would have been a trip). We have discussed on numerous occasions our differences on the Constitution Party and other third parties. Given that you do not care much for third parties, I have got to know, who would you vote for if Hillary won the Democratic nomination and Pat the Republican? :confused: [IMG]

If there were a third party worthy of my vote, I would vote for them. So far, I have not found one. I probably would either not vote or do a write in.

If the choice were Hillary vs. Pat...

I wouldn't worry about my ballot...I'd be looking for the second coming!

And in so doing he took away GOP primary votes from a viable candidate, Jack Kemp, for whom I was a county chairman in his campaign.

However, I doubt anyone could have taken the nomination away from George H.W. Bush.

</font>
I like Kemp. Do you think he is too old now?

I know you don't like W but is there a Republican on the national scene you would support now? Do you think Newt will ever be politically viable again?

That can't be right...I like him quite a bit.
Newt's looking fairly good in comparison...but I doubt he'd be electable as president.

The MSM are pulling for McCain these days.

Wrong. Pat Robertson is a Pentecostal, He's always been a Pentecostal, and always Will be a Pentecostal... He stopped "speaking in tongues" on his show to appeal to a broader crowd. At any rate, he's STILL an IDIOT! A Leopard cannot change it's spots! :rolleyes:

Yes, I think that Jack Kemp's time has passed him by to run for president. If was going to do it again, he would have run in 2000.

If Newt has the fire in the belly, I think he could make a credible run in 2008 for the Republican nomination. I would have a hard time supporting Newt because of his personal life issues with having been married three times while promoting traditional conservative values.

For the future, maybe in 2012:

Ken,
Who do you think will be the actual two nominees in 08?

I really don't know specifically, SN.

If the GOP wants to return to Reaganism, then it will nominate someone like Congressman Mike Pence. If it wants to continue with the status quo of big government "conservatism", then it will nominate someone like Senator John McCain.

If the Democratic Party wants to nominate someone clearly liberal, then it will be someone like Senator Hillary Clinton. If it wants to moderate its positions, then it will nominate someone like ex-Virginia Governor Mark Warner.
