Path of this America

Would it not be better if this America were on a different path.
We could be on the path to “ the world love wants to see”
One planet one people .
I believe these are the path of Jesus.

All nations could do better. I guess it depends on what you mean by "path". America is not a Christian entity. It is a secular nation.

The "one planet one people" idea is not sustainable because this Earth will pass away and there is not one people.

Funny I recall my Sunday school class talking about one Christian world.
I have always worked towards one planet one people .

That is unfortunate. So often errors taught to us when we are young carry over into out adult understandings. But that is why we are challenged to test what we are taught. I understand that, as a child in Sunday School, this testing is replaced by learning what is taught. But as adults we have the task of evaluating what we have been taught.

The world will pass away and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. There will be a judgment. At this time God will separate people (obviously, by the passages about this topic, this is not random separation between one people). One group will be condemned and another will enter this new Creation.

Anyway, I do understand that you would accept what your Sunday School teacher told you. As a child I believed in Santa Claus. But when we become men we cannot think as children. We have to move on.

You are suggesting that Santa doesn’t exist!?!

The path of Jesus??

Oh, how I wish you had been taught the truth in your Sunday School classes. Truthfully, I mean that. ALL Christians would be so much better off attending Bible classes that actually teach the Word of God.

The book of Isaiah teaches that Jesus is the "Prince of Peace". Isaiah 9:6. But what does that mean? It means he is on the path of reconciling sinful mankind to God. THAT is the "path of Jesus". Not stopping war.

Jesus Christ's mission was never about "one world" of "peace" or uniting countries and nations.

In fact, Jesus said himself that he did NOT come to bring that kind of peace, but he came to bring a sword. Matthew 10:34. What was he insistent on dividing? The sheep from the goats.

There will always be hate, war, killings, and oppression that lead to world chaos. I don't say that with cheer, but with sadness.

We will be part of the world God wants to see when Jesus returns. Until then, chaos.

Diversity is only a strength when diverse people have a common foundation. That foundation must be Jesus Christ, His work, His life, His death and resurrection.

The cause of Christ is what brings peace or suffering; as Paul said the gospel is an aroma of life to some and an aroma of death to others. Who is adequate for such things?

Peace to you

We often see discussions between those who want Christians to focus on witnessing to individuals, and not try to shape our culture and governing principles along Christian lines. Some rail against the "Social Gospel."

The believing founders of our country thought all men, but perhaps chiefly white landowners, were created equal, with the God given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Bible teaches it is better to be free than slave. Thus, we should influence others by persuasion rather than compulsion. And a corollary to that is separation of church and state, so the law is not weaponized to compel adherence to the theological views of those holding the power of government.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether this nation can endure in the face of wholesale seditious activity by trained Marxists, claiming to be seeking the welfare of the downtrodden, while lining their own pockets by insider trading, think Pelosi, pay for play influence schemes such as the Biden crime family, whole fraud in child care funding, and so on and so forth.

They demonize law officers, and falsely portray lawbreakers as law abiding protesters. They claim an officer being hit by a vehicle should not fire his gun in defense of himself or others.

God is reconciling humanity, one sinner at a time, by transferring the individual into Christ spiritually. But in order to facilitate an environment where people are more free to witness, to plant, and to water, some believers think we should seek governance according to the Law of Liberty.

The hundreds of versus about helping the needy, caring for the traveler, it is best explained in “the dummies guide to Christianity “ great book.
I can't find that book when I Google. I find "Idiot's Guide to Christianity" Dr. Jeffery Webb and "Christianity for dummies" by Richard Wagner.

Which one and which author are you talking about.

I understand the verses about helping the needy. That is not what I was asking.

I was asking anout Jesus’ teachings that you interpret as being about about creating the world love wants to see. One planet one people.

I ask because Jesus also spoke numerous times about the world being at enmity with God, about calling out of the world which is perishing a people, about there never being one people in this lifetime and God accomplishing this in the future via the destruction of many.

I just cannot reconcile your view here with Jesus' words as a whole. I can see how you could think otherwise if you took a few verses and determined your own conclusion. But not with Jesus' teachings as a whole.

Perhaps the better way would be to find how Jesus' teachings about loving people, giving to the needy, etc. would look within His teachings as a whole.

Anyway, that is why I was asking.

Either,” misquoting Jesus’,and the lost chapters of the Bible are also great reads.

You didn't answer my question. And there are NO missing books or chapters from the Bible. There's a LOT of heresy that people who are false teachers claim should be in there but these chapters and books conflict with God's Word.

And can you cite a reference to how Jesus is misquoted in the Bible? And can you answer initial question?

Have you ever read the actual Bible?
