Oh, never mind. Back to the topic, neither Trump nor Ryan looked too good during this debacle, but you have to place most of the blame for the defeat of the bill on Paul Ryan because he alone is the Speaker. This wasn't the first healthcare bill he wrote but Obama was on the other side. You could argue that Trump misdelegated repeal and replace, but who else was he supposed to delegate it to?
I have heard all the theories that either Ryan was showing his never-Trump colors (too much collateral damage to believe that) or Trump set Ryan up. That one is a little more plausible only because he did the "take or leave it, final offer" thing towards the end when the "nay" votes were skyrocketing. In any event, I wish this would've gone to a vote to get everyone on record but Ryan on his own pulled his bill to "save face". It didn't work but this is far from over.
