How about this - is it necessary to move a family to move from Ft Lewis, WA to the East coast and then back to Ft Lewis when the GI is going to end up back at the same base, when he returns from Korea? Are those dependent moves considered to meet military objectives?PCS = Permanent Change of Station
If the moves are needed to meet military objectives, fine. If to keep the administrative folks busy rearranging the chairs on our bases, cutting unnecessary relocations seems sound.
One of the things I like about our current Administration is they will try one approach to a problem, and if it does NOT work, they will adjust. They are going to cut back on PCS moves, and may revise the policy if problems arise. How about this - is it necessary to move a family to move from Ft Lewis, WA to the East coast and then back to Ft Lewis when the GI is going to end up back at the same base, when he returns from Korea?
